Absolutely gorgeous and The pictures do no justice! We walked the 604 steps to the top of the water fall and it was worth every step! Gorgeous scenery in every direction and as far as the eye can see. If you're unable to climb the stairs to the top, you have the option to drive up and walk over to enjoy the views at the top of the waterfall. Headed to the zip lining adventures afterwards and it was just as phenomenal! I'd definitely return and experience it all again. If you're unable to climb the stairs to the top, you have the option to drive and enjoy the views of the top of the waterfall too.

Absolutely breathtaking and stunningly beautiful. Every step of the 600-plus journey down and back up is worth it. The waterfall feels endless, with each cascading section offering its own unique beauty. An experience you won’t want to miss!

good place to enjoy nature. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and take water with you. very beautiful forest. The fall is small but beautiful. To take good photos, it’s better to go up to the observation deck from below. you can sit on the veranda of the cafe and enjoy the beautiful view. You can also come and stay overnight in a tent. For convenience, there are benches everywhere and tables where you can sit and have a snack.

Such a beautiful falls. The weather was great. The main falls was closed because a tree fell, so only the lower falls was open. It was an easy hike, didn't have to climb the stairs. I love that it had the rubber path to the falls which made it easier on your feet

Great place for hikers and non-hikers alike. Plenty of variety of hiking as well as just site seeing and other activities. Axe throwing, zip lining are just two of the other activities that I have had a great time at this jewel of a state park. Hiking to the Len Foote Inn can be a one day challenge, or a great overnight stay. The staff at the brand new park HQ are helpful and knowledgeable if you have any questions about where to go and what is available to do. Starting your AT hike here is good way to get some last minute taste of civilization before starting north. Definitely a must see when visiting Georgia.

Beautiful day for a hike!! We went on a Friday around 1 pm. Very well maintained. The Visitor’s Center appears to be very new and staff is very knowledgeable about the trails, falls and other aspects about the park. Restrooms were clean and well-maintained. There are a number of conveniently located picnic areas. The hike along the falls is beautiful, with lookout points at good spots for those who need to take a breath or do a photo op. There are a combination of wooden and metal stairs.Parts of the trail are more level than others, and it gets steeper as you go up.There are parts of the trail that are paved. We love this state park!! Keep our parks beautiful! 😊🌲

Awesome hike and falls. There is a fairly steep hiking trail that I would suggest you take to the top...it beats the alternative of walking up 604 steps going the other way. Coming down the steps after hiking to the top makes much more sense. However, if you skipped leg day at the gym, you might want to go up and down on the steps! The falls are beautiful, but the amount of people around makes it a little hard to enjoy your surroundings.

Well appointed visitor's center at the base of the falls. No shuttle service from either the top or bottom of the falls, so plan accordingly. Spring through fall is awesome; wet your feet in the creek or sit in one of the refreshing pools. Spring time has a load of beautiful flora and mountain flowers to smell and photograph (touch with your eyes), along with a host of mountain forest critters, trout and wildlife. Fall has the changing leaves and the beauty of hiking. And tent a cabin in the winter. But please, please, please take your trash with you. Enjoy.

I had never really visited North Georgia and wanted to see this area. I picked this park because I had seen it in videos about the Appalachian Trail. It was way beyond my expectation. The waterfall is amazing, the highest waterfall in Georgia. The lodge is beautiful, sitting on top of the mountain with a panoramic view of the southern Appalachians. Miles of beautiful hiking trails and forest. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Falls are amazing. Split your group and the athletic ones park the car at the reflection pond hike the concrete path and stairs up the falls and the rest start at the upper falls and walk down which is so much easier to do and finish the full falls. It's so amazing. Stay at the lodge which on the back deck you can perfectly watch the west sun set. We had dinner at the lodge, burgers and ribeye, which were delicious and had great service. Was not busy on a Tuesday. Nice fireplace to sit at in the evening to watch the final sunset go down. Certainly a hidden gem!

Beautiful state park and incredibly well thought out. It's very handicap accessible. I loved that they had trails made for wheelchairs and walkers so you could go see the falls as well. It was a very easy hike in to the falls from the handicap parking lot. Not even 10 minutes. The staff was delightful and so very helpful right from the time you come through the gate. Definitely recommend for family fun and for getting immersed in nature.

Really nice state park! We really enjoyed the park and the trails. The park is very nice and has a very nice visiting center when you first come in. There's a whole play area for kids as well. Then once you hit the trails there's tons of scenic views as you're walking up the side of the fall. When you get to the lookout of the falls it's gorgeous. You can continue up every higher but the first part you go up 175 stairs and the second part says it's over 400 stairs so we didn't continue but if you're a big hiker there's plenty more hiking to do it's only the start of the Appalachian trails.

BEAUTIFUL!!Fell in love with this place. The falls pictures do not do justice to the actual view. The walk is great, there are 400+ steps to go up which was difficult but I did with my toddlers.Kids friendly place, anybody can visit. Plenty of parking in different places, restrooms were clean and playground was clean too.Kids have a playground to play in, there are a lot of benches to sit and watch them. You can do barbecue as well. This place is great for one day trip and picnic.I would go here again, drive is g bad either. Nature always is the best and at it’s best!

The falls are beautiful! They're easily accessible at the top at about the middle of the falls by very clean, well-kept paths. We rented 2 cabins near the top of the falls during our stay, and both cabins were extremely dirty and full of ants and spiders. Floors were absolutely filthy, but linens appeared clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast at the lodge was pretty good, but dinner was terrible, and their adult beverages were just awful. The staff was amazing and friendly. We also rented a pavilion there for an event and it was completely filthy. The kitchen was disgusting, and there was a closet full of molded rags that reeked like dead animals. The air conditioning in the enclosed pavilion did not respond to the remotes provided, and there were no buttons to adjust on the units so we were burning up the whole time we were there. Despite all of that, we had a phenomenal time, and we would love to go back. We had a great time hiking the trails, playing in the water, looking at the reflecting pool and rock hunting. If you go, just take your own cleaning supplies, cook your own food in your cabins, and enjoy the nature around you.

A nice well maintained must visit state park in Georgia. Awesome view of the falls with the mountains and woods. The water is cold most of the time. The round up trail is bit difficult with the stairs but worth experiencing it.Got many picnic areas and tables. They are clean and well maintained too.

Spectacular views of the falls. Beautiful nature center. Access to Appalachian Trail Head. Parking is available at the top, bottom, and middle of falls. Be aware that parking at the middle of the falls is limited but also wheelchairchair accessible There are hundreds of steel steps up and down the side of the falls.
Rebecca M — Google review
There is a visitors center/gift shop at the beginning where you purchase a parking pass. It also has information about the Appalachian Trail inside.Somehow, we parked in a smaller parking lot. That took us straight to the falls, but I guess there is another parking area where you hike and then walk up 125 stairs to the falls. To get to the top of the falls, you can drive and there is another parking lot, or you can walk up 425 very steep steps. The view is worth it.

Great little waterfall it's not that much water is going down, but it's high. We took a nice walk to see it and hiked back. We had a good time. Lots of walking

The namesake Amicalola Falls is simply stunning. Cascading down a long distance, the power and beauty of the water are awe-inspiring. Whether you view it from the observation deck or take the challenging hike down (and back up!), the experience is unforgettable.Beyond the falls, the park itself boasts stunning mountain views and lush forests. It's a true escape into nature, perfect for a refreshing break or a weekend getaway.

Such a beautiful park!! Took a day trip here from Atlanta with family. The trails are well kept. The waterfall is breath taking. There are different areas via driving/parking to access the waterfall as it can be tiring with all of the steps if starting from the base. They have lodging and camp sites. We went zip-lining and had a blast!! The tour guides were fun.

Consolidated Gold Mine is an indoor tourist attraction that provides visitors with the opportunity to go on underground mine tours, pan for gold and precious stones and explore gemstone mining. Additionally, there is a gift shop available where visitors can purchase souvenirs. The tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly, providing an enjoyable experience for all guests. Visitors have the chance to find rubies, garnet stones and other precious gems while panning for gold.
I loved it there!Miner Rusty was a great tour guide.I got lots of cool pictures.I panned for gold and got more gold than I expected. It’s a very cool little souvenir. I also decided to pan for precious stones and was very happy with what I found as well. I found a couple rubies and then I paid to have miner Mike turn a very large garnet stone into a pendant as a gift for my mother. He is the real deal.Everyone is super friendly there and it’s a great time.I will definitely be back to pan for more gold and stones. Maybe I’ll strike it rich!Thank you

Took my 4 year old son today and it was just the best experience ever! He had a blast & I’ll be honest, I did too! The panning for gold was fun but for little kids, the gem mining part was the best! Absolutely recommend to anyone! Our guide was funny, attentive and very knowledgeable. Interacting with all the kids & making them feel a part of it!

This place is a must-see if you're in the area! The tour was remarkable, with a lot of interesting information! Everyone was so nice and friendly! Especially our tour guide, Rusty. Thar man has a unique personality and a charisma!Bring your kids to look for gems in the sand and a gold! This is so worth the time and the money!

This is definitely the gold mine experience you want to pick!! Very professional staff, on time, easy and informative tour that only takes 20 min or so. The gold panning is included with tour and we also did the gem mining. It was the most fun we have the entire trip! All my teenagers (15-18) had a great time so this mom was happy! I wanted to go back again the next day!

Had a great time. Wonderful experience and the kids had a great time. Included in our ticket was a gold panning experience and we paid $30 extra for a bucket for gemstones sifting. The kids wanted to stay and keep sifting in the sand. Will definitely return again.

We really enjoyed our trip to the mine! The family all felt like it was worth the price! I had expected the tour to be longer but honestly it was fantastic and we loved “panning” as well! Also I felt like the gift shop is very affordable!

We were visiting from South Florida this Easter weekend and really enjoyed the tour with our guide Reese. He was funny and personable. If you like museums and historical facts you'll really enjoy this experience. There is complimentary gold panning included with admission, and you can also add on searching for gems in a large sand bucket for $30 a bucket. The tour itself is really awesome, you'll go underground and hear all about the day in the life of a gold miner. Perfect for all ages.

Unexpectedly awesome!!We had a blast!Loved the tour, we learned so much from our guide. He was young but very well prepared.Loved the mines, it was a first for us but it was super fun, we even got to see a bat, a frog, a salamander and a little snake! We loved gold pinning and looking for gems, it was very fun! We found some pretty cool stones! We went there this past weekend for the last tour at 4pm. It was not crowded at all considering it was the Thanksgiving weekend, maybe because we got there for the last tour. We were a group of 7 and they were so kind to wait for us before closing so we could enjoy the whole experience and take all the pictures and videos we wanted. We really appreciated that! Very polite stuff.100% recommended!

First time here, it was so much fun! Had a great tour guide, Kennedy I think. Several people had the same idea as my family this Tuesday, including a few daycares, but it didn’t feel crowded at all. Plenty of space for everyone. Reservations weren’t needed. Plenty of parking, easy to get to.Friendly and knowledgeable staff!Panning for gold was fun and my family each got 1-3 pieces. We got a bucket of gems and got great finds! We all had a great time, definitely worth it!

Wow, just wow wow wow.Thai is an experience you do not want to miss. We got there first thing on a Saturday morning. We started out by doing our gold pan experience, which comes with your mine tour ticket. There were 5 of us (4 adults and a 2.5 year old) and we all got a flake to 3 flakes of gold. The tour was amazing! It lasted about 45 mins into a mine. I would stay don’t wear nice shoes/clothes as it was dripping a bit and had water in the mine but nothing crazy (I had white shoes and was good but my hat caught a few clay dropped). The miner team was great. She was able to answers everyone’s questions, even the kids that had some silly ones. She also had some fun little jokes and tricks to keep things fun. They have tons of old finds from the mine when it was in working condition. You won’t regret checking this out.If youre claustrophobic I’ll just add there really wasn’t any parts of the cave that were tight. I could put my hands out all the way by my sides and not touch the walls throughout most of the tour. They also have lights on in the cave that make it safe to get around. We had a few people in our tour that were older with knee/back issues and they were able to get up/down without it being too much - but I don’t think it would be good for walkers/wheelchairs.Now for the mining review - the gold mining was fun, we got 1-3 flakes per person. The activity took about 15 mins but was included in our tour. We added on the $30 gem stone package - worth it!!! The bucket was about 5 gallons of sand/gems. We had a blast scooping the mix into our pan, shifting and then identifying. We got a huge back of gems including some precious stones. I got a huge chuck of blue sapphire. Luckily they have a lapidary onsite to cut your gems, Miner Mike.Miner Mike was so knowledgeable! We was able to help us breakdown the possible sizes I would be able to get some my stone, what the color would be and proved me tons of options. And the prices to cut the stones weren’t bad at all! I’ll be getting 2 6mm stones, one set in a ring. It will take about 3 weeks to ship to me - not bad.Overall, if you’re thinking about stopping here- do it!!! You won’t regret it.

Seriously, what a fabulous experience we had at the Consolidated Gold Mine. Miner Chandler, our tour guide, did an excellent job sharing the history of the mine, detailing how mining was done before electricity and power tools. It was a snapshot into a day of a miner in the late 1800s, fascinating, educational and terrifying! This was every bit as good as the National Park cave tours we have done. Maybe better. Afterwards, young and old alike loved the opportunity to be a prospector for a few minutes as we panned for gold. The littles absolutely loved sluicing for gems too (an additional cost). 10/10. We will be back.

Fun for the whole family. The mine tour was entertaining for all ages and rich in the mine’s history. When we finished the tour, the family panned for gold (bringing home our very own gold flakes), the mined for gems before visiting the gift shop.

Rusty was our tour guide and absolutely entertaining and informative. The mine and its history was fascinating. We were on a road trip back from TN heading back to Florida and went out of our way to stop by and glad we did. We also added the gem mining. Kids 12 and 15 enjoyed the whole experience. We’d definitely revisit if in the area again.

We went with our kids and some other family and had a blast. The tour guide was funny and a wealth of knowledge with the questions our group asked. It was very cool learning about the miners lives. It was wet down in the mine, so wear good shoes! We also panned for gold and got a little container with our flakes in it to take home, which was cool. After we did the gem stone sifting. We paid $50 for a 5 gal bucket and that was plenty for our 5 kids. They all got a good handful of gemstones. The souvenir shop was well priced, way more affordable than the aquarium.Overall, we'd definitely go again!

Truly magical, beautiful, and peaceful place. I could stay for hours and hours! The pathways are gorgeous and they have benches all along the way to stop as needed. Multiple statues, rock formations, and beautiful surprises are a feast for the senses. The sweet smell of the flowers in bloom was so worth the trip for me. There’s so much to see and sense with the amazing flowers, sounds of waterfalls, brooks trickling, scenic views and nature in all its beauty. It changes constantly so it’s a place to visit often (recommend an annual pass). This is handicapped accessible except the Manor house area and some other marked areas (see map at entrance) unless it has rained. Check the website before going if rain has occurred or is predicted. Scooter worked well in the accessible areas. Plan on spending 3-4 hours if you want to see most of the gardens. The staff were fabulous! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They were happy to answer questions and so kind.

I saw advertisements for Gibbs Garden and the daffodils for a couple years. Then when we went I was so happy we had. Now we go back for different seasons through the year. It is always so beautiful. Gibbs Gardens are truly one of the hidden gems of Georgia. Pictured are spring flowers, fields of daffodils in spring, the Japanese gardens, and a couple of the water features. Take the family for a day! It's a great place to relax, look at the sky and nature, and let go of everything else.

Beautiful gardens! Quiet, peaceful walk. Beautiful place to relax and read. It's not a place for loud talking or crying, screaming little ones. Some walking paths areas have a steep incline.

This place is just gorgeous! The staff is so incredibly kind and helpful. The map/trail is easy to follow so you don’t miss a thing. There’s plenty of place to sit and just enjoy the gardens, as well as a cafe. We lucked out coming later on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all! Took two adults about 2 hours to stroll. Do wear proper shoes as there are some hills and gravel on the way to the manor house. Definitely recommend for families or just a date day!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! A truly hidden gem in north Georgia. Went with my fiancée and mother, and they could not get enough of the scenery. From the fields of flowers, for the Japanese gardens, to the manor, to just simply walking around. 10/10 coming back to see how beautiful it looks in autumn!

Beautiful and very well maintained gardens, nice day trip for sure. The cafe served a fantastic grain bowl and hummus dip!!There are a lot of staff at and around the entrance, but after that you are pretty much on your own, seems as though for $25 and the amount of staff there, they would have them stationed at points throughout the walking paths, to answer questions/give directions and such. The house is nice , again no staff there either. The gardens and flowers are spectacular, however they are flawed by these big white commercialized arrow signs, definitely an eye sore amongst the gorgeous foliage

I have been an annual member of Gibbs Gardens for the last three years now. This place is truly special and has so much to offer. During their open season, there is not one day that has ever disappointed. My average visit is about two hours sometimes more. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing place to explore. The ponds in the front of the property exhibit, spectacular water lilies, and include a mocking of a Monet painting. The wildflower fields are incredible, especially during the monarch migration. The Japanese gardens are serene and very peaceful. Mr. Gibbs it’s a pleasant man that I was lucky enough to meet. All of the workers and staff are extremely helpful and kind. They even have great food. If you’re local or traveling into the area Gibbs Gardens as a must see.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Well planned and stunning plantings. Well maintained! We visited late May, 2024 and property was stunning even without the spring flowers and azaleas!! We will definitely visit again next spring!! A must see that will not disappoint!!

I went with my partner last year and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The wildflower field is by far the best part and it's a ways in but not a crazy long walk and very shady. I took so many pictures I'm not sure which ones to pick to show how beautiful this place truly is. This is more of leisurely stroll than a hike though if it's hot out you may work up a good sweat.Remember that you need to buy tickets and getting them online is easiest. My phone never lost signal so it's easy to pay the $25 (adults) $10 (kids 3-17yo) daily admission. There wasn't a line when I went on a Saturday @11AM in Oct but I could def see it being crowded if there's an event. Afterwords, we went to Jeremiah's Italian Ice which was wonderful on such a hot day.I hope to get my parents to visit one day 😌

The gardens are beautiful. Plenty of nature to see around. The daffodils were in full bloom and there were beautiful tulips to see as well.It takes a good 3-4 hours to cover the garden at leisure and be sure to wear comfy shoes. The directions within the garden to explore was detailed.Plenty of benches to sit upon and relax.Couple of things which I believe should be improved- Lack of water station / dispenser. There is one at the reception / main gate and none thereafter. They should have couple of them within the gardens. They could definitely have one at Manor house which is like a highlight and a mid-way point.- Long walks: while this is a given, there could be a provision of a buggy for older people.

These gardens are absolutely beautiful. Everywhere you look it's just amazing. Wear comfy shoes because you are going to want to walk the entire grounds to see everything. There is such beauty and so peaceful it just makes for a wonderful day. I'm so happy I got to experience these gardens. Trust me when I tell you that the pictures don't do it justice.

Spectacular beauty! Just visited with my sister and daughter-in-law on October 12, 2024. There were still a lot in bloom, but I would love to see it at the peak of season. There were still plenty of wildflowers in the meadow to attract butterflies. Need to allow a full day to experience it all without rushing. We missed parts, because we ran out of time. Must see the Manor garden and the mountainview. Tickets and the cafe menu are reasonably priced. We had perfect weather in the low 70's for our visit! Wish I lived closer.

Its a lovely walk through, the trails/pathways are many offering different routes through the gardens along with the grass walk up to the rose gardens allows and sense of exploration. The flowers, plants, trees all are colorful aiding to the visual experience. If anyone has difficulty walking and needs to rest, they're no shortage of benches which also allows one to sit and just watch and relax.

I’ve heard so much about Gibb’s Gardens and was in the area so I visited it this past Saturday morning. The skies were overcast which made picture taking excellent since there were no shadows.I do not think late July is a prime time for visiting, but there was still many flowers blooming. Fortunately it was not crowded so I was able to take many pictures without obstruction from crowds.I visited only one of the gardens and enjoyed the visit very much. The place is peaceful and very beautiful. I will be back most likely in the fall.

Attended on my 5 year wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. There were moments we felt like we were totally alone in a beautiful field full of black eyed susans. The rows of day lilies were stunning. And walking into the Japanese garden felt like walking into an entirely other world! The manor was beautiful and we even found both garden cats who were very receptive to some love. We've been raving since we got back. The food in the cafe was also excellent. I got the chicken salad and my wife got the grain bowl.Already thinking about doing this again for my mother in laws birthday.

It was a fun trail and hike. I went early, so parking was not a problem. On the way back to the car, I saw NPS employees checking for cars for passes. I added Pigeon Hill to my hike, which has many deer nearby. There are lots of steep/strenuous areas, so bring plenty of water!

A great place to hike. Lots of history. Beautiful nature. And a wonderful place on top to sit and watch birds soar on airstreams while they hunt. The top is also a great place to meditate, read, and talk with God. The staff here are superb. Ranger Mary is extremely knowledgeable and I always try to stop by to say hi whenever I'm there.

Late afternoon stroll through the fascinating woods at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield National ParkThe Noses Creek and Hardage Mil area was new to us and we appreciated both the beauty as well as the historyThere is a short connecting trail that follows alongside a creek at the base of the Dead Angle field on Cheatham Hill where the Illinois Monument is located. Along that trail are two of the most magnificent trees in the 2965 acre park. They’re both about the same size though one has it’s massive moss covered roots exposed.

I purposely went to the park late in the afternoon, so I expected parking to be a pain, which it was. I really love visiting national park units though (40+ and counting), so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I was there to hike anyway, but I used my America the Beautiful pass to cover the parking fee. From the overflow parking lot, I bee-lined to the Visitor Center to get a map and my stamp. After that, I immediately started the 1-mile hike up the main trail to the summit. The trail started to ascend almost immediately and it's very rocky, so pace yourself if you need to. There aren't a huge number of benches along the trail, but the trails are extremely well marked.Overall, this park is honestly one of the best maintained units I've ever seen, but I have to assume it's because of the number of locals who visit. Seeing it in spring is probably the best part because of all the beautiful flowering trees.Shameless plug: I visit all kinds of parks and share them on my IG @domsdillydallies if you're interested!

We hiked 5-6 miles, we weren't fit for this walk. But overall we enjoyed being there. We even came across some does towards the end of our walk.

Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

I thought it was very interesting and it’s cool you can see most of the trenches still and I thought that it was cool to follow the attack by Dan Mccook on the bloody angle

They seem quite apologetic and even celebratory of confederate war nostalgia, under the guise of "history". This is evidenced by their various monuments and historical markers that attempt to subtley depict the losing pro-slavery racist condederates as heroes whose deeds are somehow worthy of respect or rememberance. Utter gaslighting nonsense. A better monument would be to the countless slaves that were forced to undergo neverending unpaid labor under horrible conditions for their entire lives, to the sole benefit of the ruthless, unenlightened brutal confederates.

It's so peaceful, lots of tree's and it's so cool. People running, walking and enjoying life. And the wild life. Nothing like eating your lunch and a snake come over to talk to you. Priceless.

We only had about an hour to spend here but enjoyed the museum. I really like the battle field log with the cannon balls embedded in them, very cool. Didn't have enough time to hike too far, but the trails looked very nice from what we saw.

This was my first time hiking the trail, and I loved it. The facility at the parking area was clean. The trail is well maintained. The informational placards along the trail were a pleasant surprise.

Historical places are always a great place to find inspiration and reflection. There were some interesting lessons here along the self guided trails. Lots of walking and running, and families spending time together, while engaging in discussions about nature and history. We will co.e and spend more time here on our next trip to Atlanta.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place! The trail is not for the faint of heart but there are plenty of benches along the way to take a rest break lol. Didn't make it to the top because my time was cut short, but now I have more than enough reasons to come back again!!

Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

Marietta Square is such a charming place to spend an afternoon! There are so many unique shops to explore, from boutiques to antique stores, and a great variety of local restaurants and cafes. The square is beautifully maintained and perfect for a leisurely walk. Whether you're browsing, people-watching, or just enjoying the historic atmosphere, it’s a great spot to relax and unwind. The lively events and farmer’s markets they host also add to the appeal. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the heart of Marietta!

The square has so much so offer! There are so many great restaurants to explore. My kids love to make wishes in the fountain and play on the train in the park.

Chalktoberfest at the Marietta Square is arguably my favorite event each year! Benefiting and sponsored by the Marietta Museum of Art, local businesses sponsor artists from around the world to showcase their creativity. Plenty of eats and drinks are available at the mainstay restaurants and pop-up tents. Additionally, local shops are open for business, along with artisans here for the festivities. A “must see” event!!

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

Marietta Square is a fantastic spot, especially when they host events – everything is always well-organized and clean. Beyond that, it’s a great place to bring your family, as it’s both pet and kid-friendly. There’s a wonderful variety of restaurants to choose from, along with charming local shops to explore. Whether you’re looking to grab a bite, do some shopping, or just relax outside, Marietta Square has something for everyone. Highly recommend!

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Only had a few minutes to stroll around the square in Marietta. It is a quaint town with a variety of shops and restaurants. The last time I was there (a few years ago), I felt there were more shops whereas now there seem to be more eating places. Also the concert in the middle of the square is a unique idea. Always enjoy visiting Marietta!

There's always something going on at The Marietta Square! Many festivals and evening concerts are scheduled throughout the year, along with farmer's markets. Check out The Strand (theater) & their schedule as well, and so many cool places to shop and eat. Was super worried about the mature tree removal around the perimeter (roots pushing up sidewalks) but it already is looking great again!

Tomorrow's morning will be the annual MS walk. They have a 1 mile trail and 3 mile trail. Dogs are welcomed, and the city police take care of blocking the path for everyone to enjoy the walk at your own pace. They have stands along the path with water also. It I great event for a great cause....

I visited Marietta Square while on a trip from Silver City, NM. I loved the shops and found my car loaded with bags of goodies to take home. Of course I worked up an appetite so I grabbed a leisurely dinner at Mac's Raw Bar & Market, and the service and food was to die for!! AND before leaving, snapped some pictures of me and my family in the gazebo in the center of the square.

Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is a lakeside water park featuring thrilling slides, a large wave pool, and various attractions for families to enjoy. It offers an array of experiences that cater to visitors seeking unforgettable moments together, from serene beach vibes to winter escapades and mesmerizing light displays. The venue also includes a mini-golf course, arcades, and snow tubing during the winter season.
We only went to the water park, which is a great way to spend family time for all ages. The many varied attractions are fantastic, something for everyone! My only critique is the fact that they do not allow coolers, drinks or snacks to be brought in, only to sell you extremely high priced drinks and food. They will go through your beach bags but the worker that went through mine did allow my big thermal cup full of ice. There are water fountains around the park, but it is not cold water. One way to avoid an expensive lunch for the family is to pack it in a cooler and leave it in the car. With your wristband, you can leave and go to your car for lunch and then come back in. There is a tram train to take you back and forth from the parking lot to the entry gate.

If you, kids, or anyone in your group have “FOOD SENSITIVITIES”, don’t even bother trying to bring your own food or snacks. They will not let you bring anything in, no matter what or which higher up you talk to. You can only bring in sealed, unopened, or completely empty water bottles, NOTHING ELSE. Now To the review. Your typical water park and the atmosphere that comes along with it. The park has about 10 water slides, some of them require mats, tubes, and others you can go without anything. Everything is provided for the requirements to ride. The only requirement is that the rider is 48 inches or taller. Wave pool is about 6 ft deep. Bathrooms are pretty well kept up, so that’s worth a star in itself. If you’re a local, and are getting season passes, they are worth it for the summer break kids are usually on. Just remember, the little ones will eventually get hungry, and fries alone are close to $8, make it meal for $17. Remember, food sensitive or not, if you’re bringing your own food, you will take a minimum 10 minute walk to your car to go eat and quench your thirst. “Enjoy”

This place overall was a blast. We came here with our church youth group totaling about 40 people. There were more positives than negatives.Positives:Quite a few slides with varying intensity.Beautiful venue on the lake.Obstacle course on the lake was a hit with the teens and adults alike.Good workers who politely answered questions and helped when they could.New slides are objectively very good to great.Fun atmosphere.Lots to do. Spent 6 hours there and easily could have stayed longer.Negatives:It seemed like they weren’t ready for crowds.Their grill ran out of buns for burgers at 1:30.The chicken finger place ran out of bbq and honey mustard around the same time.We were going to buy dipping dots, but they had no spoons. There weren’t enough inner tubes for the new rides. We had to wait in line at the exits of the big slides just to get a tube. Then we had to stand in line again to get on the ride. I think they’ll get more tubes in the future, but that was frustrating today.Overall, great experience. I have it four stars because of the dining experience. Not having enough buns, sauce, and utensils isn’t the end of the world. Just frustrating.I’ll likely go back with my family. I’d recommend it.

I’m a fan of Margaritaville at Lake Lanier over the summer completely. However, their Lakeside Lights over the winter was expensive and disappointing. Parking was $20, tickets to just walk through and see their eh display was $26, or you could purchase the all access pass for $60. (for ONE person). The light walk through ticket was $20, but for some reason the processing fee was a whopping $6. I think that’s ridiculous personally? The All-Access pass included access to some small carnival rides and some extra stuff, but in my opinion $60 was a bit much. The lights were basically a 5 minute walk through, you got to walk through 4 kinda disappointing light arches and then walk a bit more and see a couple of light up presents. I just think for that price it could’ve been a bit more.It was super nice for kids to come though. Every family I saw seemed to enjoy it, but it just could’ve been more.

We have had season passes for the last four years and I used to tell anyone who would listen how great it was for a relaxed and economical quick trip. Unfortunately, this will be our last year getting the passes.I expected prices to increase due to the cost of the new water slides, but there are other changes that significantly impact the overall cost. You can no longer bring a tent, which I understand since they now offer cabanas. However, the cabanas are quite expensive. As season pass holders, we had planned eight trips, but at $300 a day, that would total $2400.Alternatively, you can rent the shade that was free last year for $200 a day. If that's too expensive, you can rent umbrellas for $20 a day. While this isn't bad on its own, needing multiple umbrellas or planning to visit multiple days adds up quickly, especially since you can't bring your own umbrella anymore. The reasoning behind this seems to be purely financial. We'll go once to make some use of our season passes, but it's not worth going as many times as we planned if we have to spend $80+ a day to have shaded seating that isn't overcrowded (which they do offer for free). They could have found another way to generate revenue without prohibiting personal umbrellas. However, it seems they won't miss us or other customers like us.They are now the Spirit Airlines of family fun, they will get you in with decent prices but once you are booked the fees make their cost the same as everyone else. Charge a higher rate upfront so people can plan accordingly and allow cost saving measures like personal umbrellas or canopies.

This place is absolutely beautiful and so convenient! We stayed in the lost shaker cabin and it was beautiful and so perfectly clean with plenty of extra amenities for your stay with an amazing view over the lake ! There is two restaurants and an amusement park right there by it and so much more ! You don’t even have to leave the campground ! We absolutely loved it ! We will definitely be back !

We went to the water park area. We did get some food, which was tasty. Everything but chips and water is 8+$. They do not accept cash. Most of the slides were so much fun. One thing that was hard to get a straight answer about was the timing for the closing of the slide, the start of the concert, and fireworks.

We are locals and season pass holders at Fins Up. 10/10, good fun for kids, great amenities for adults. The beach does have a fence but it's like 10 feet out from the shore. It's honestly perfect for little kids, no complaints. Shout out to Steve-o the bartender for making every time we come down feel like we are coming back to family. Raise that man's wages!

Most of the waterslides are super fun!! A couple of them can hurt though which is why it's a 4 and not a 5. The food here is good for a water park and the wave pool is always cool. Great family weekend getaway!!

This is a great little water park. It has just enough fun things to do without being overwhelming. The daily tickets are expensive, but if you can go more than once, then a season pass is the way to go. Some of the buildings are aging and it could use some better landscaping in some areas, but it's great, for the most part. The reopened the beach area (last year there was fence keeping people out of the water), so you can just sit and enjoy the lake now. The season passes give you a little reusable bracelet, but it's a resort style ribbon bracelet that I'm not confident will last long enough. It would be great if these could be made of a sturdier material.

My wife and I brought our camper to Margaritaville and had a beautiful few days there. Our site was super close to the water; we had to pick a site from what was still available and we happened to book kinda last minute. I’d say book well in advance to when you want to visit! The waterpark was so much fun with all the different slides to try. The slides were all really smooth too. Great for adults to ride too! We got 4 tickets included with our site rental each day we were there, we just had to go to the office to claim them the day of. Sites were clean and looked like they had brand new hookups for everything. Leveling our camper on the rocks was a bit challenging, but it was our first time doing so and it ended up leveling out nicely. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Margaritaville!

This was an awesome trip to have fun at. Lines can be long sometimes. You might not want to try cat 4. All the rides were very fun. You will love apocalypso.

Waterpark looks aged, needs some motivated employees (paying attention to the surrounding and not their cellphone), some maintenance and repair and a cleaning in some area. Beach area is closed as there is no lifeguard. The 4 new slides however are lot of fun.No bring-in food or drinks allowed while must of the bars offer are either closed or just offer only 2-3 overpriced snacks.

I was there with some friends and we didn't see anyone. Right as we were about to leave, we saw a guy watching us from behind some corners. We were pretty far from the parking lot so we walked fast to our car. We kept seeing him so we would walk faster and faster until we were in a full sprint to our car. I swear the place is haunted.

We had a good experience at the Fins Up Water Park. I recommend getting there early enough to snag a pool chair or somewhere to sit. We noticed that people would set their stuff down on several chairs but not actually be in the wave pool, so if you can, bring a chair. The food is really expensive so I recommend prepaying or eating before you go. They will not allow you to bring water in your water bottles (I watched staff instruct a woman to empty her water out of her Stanley before entering). For a Tuesday, the lines were manageable, and it wasn't too crowded.

Lake Lanier has gone down hill. I’ve lived here for my whole 28 years of live. For a season pass of $99.99 you get absolutely nothing. They have in the terms that they can change their rules and benefits at any time without notice. They never notified anyone that you can no longer bring umbrellas into the park until you arrive with your umbrellas. Then if you want an umbrella you have to pay $20 a day for an umbrella that continuously falls over and the staff have to set it back up for it to fall down again. Oh but don’t worry, if you want reliable shade you can spend $300 a day for a cabana. So now you just have to sit and fry and get heat stroke on a mediocre beach but you aren’t allowed to get into the water. Only way to cool down is to ride their one good water slide. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. This company does not care about the happiness of the patrons. Oh and Lake lanier will only respond to the good reviews so I know they aren’t going to address my concerns.

We visited for the snow attractions since Stone Mountain isn't doing their snow stuff this year. This is our first time visiting.Cons: We went and spent almost $350 for 2 adults and 2 children to enter, then another $20 for a "resort fee" to enter. We won't be back at these prices, it wasn't worth it.I don't exactly remember how much per person the food was, but we also spent another $100 on 2 chicken finger baskets meals and 2 chicken filly meals We asked the staff if we could exit the park and come back without being charged a resort fee again. We got blank stares and told they didn't know since it's a different company at the front entrance (??)I also called before we drove 2 hours to ask if they shut down the park due to rain and the staff member didn't know 😑The light show was an extra charge and was underwhelming. It was drizzling today, so most of the rides were also shut down.We did the blizzard mountain, and a few employees(teens) were on the phone the whole time, if there was an emergency or issue, they wouldn't have noticed. The wave pool snow area is icy, slippery. There isn't much they can do about it since it's artificial snow, but there are no employees monitoring for safety either. We watched several people falling on the wave pool concrete.Pros:The kids enjoyed blizzard mountain and the wave pool snow area. The wave pool area had snow ball making toys which made snow ball fights fun.The few rides they did get to ride seemed to let them ride for extended time, not just a quick 60 seconds.

My husband and I were there last week with our family and was so embarrassed about the service, I had to write a review in hopes the park can correct the lack of service we received. We have been season pass holders for several years and have noticed the lack of responsible management and declining service at the park. We rented a cabana 2 weeks ago and was told with the $300 fee we would have a waiter to take our drink and food orders. We never saw anyone come over to even check our rental identification or take any drink orders. This was the minimal requirement I expected from the park for a family day I had planned. I can’t say what a disappointment this was for our out of town family to visit. Then later in the week we went back again with family expecting better results for the day but realized this was not the case. We went to the sandwich place by the wave pool for lunch and was told they were out of chicken and bbq sandwiches and hot dogs and that we would have to go somewhere else on the other side of the lake. We went to the pizza shop by the lake and stood in line for a long time. When the guy finally took our order he said he was the only one working there and he had to take our order and go back to the kitchen to make our pizza. He also said there was no ice in the place and we would have to go somewhere else to order some ice for our drinks. We drank hot sodas! How embarrassing I felt to even bring family and friends to the park ever again. How can the park expect new business with this type of service? The rules of the park are no food, drinks or coolers but they don’t even follow through to provide the customers the basic foods at the park. We went a third time recently and had to sneak in crackers because we worried no food would be provided. Please respond how things will be any different next year before I will be renewing my season tickets. Convenient locations of enough food and drink opportunities must be provided daily.

We love this water park! It's smaller, not very crowded, plenty of things to do for an afternoon, and very clean! The food is good from what we have tried and most of the staff have been friendly. Would much prefer this over White Water in Atlanta. Do not ever plan on visiting there again after coming here.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a world-renowned botanical garden located in Midtown Atlanta. It features prominent exhibitions spanning 30 acres of lush gardens with unique and awe-inspiring flora and fauna. Nearby Piedmont Park provides easy access for residents and visitors to enjoy the botanical gardens stunning scenery and tranquil environment.
Nice and quiet, peaceful but a lot of walking, lots of places to sit and relax and lot of small hills and ups and downs throughout. There is lots of flowers and beautiful scenery everywhere overall it's worth the time. Make sure you bring some water with you and good walking shoes, it's so worth the trip to see everything that's there, plan to spend 4 or more hours there. There is a restaurant inside and lots of water fountains that really don't work, but if you bring an empty container there are places you can fill them up with water.

Fantastic! Spent all day here, enjoying the flowers and displays. There was a scarecrow exhibition going on that was creative & fun. The grounds are well laid out and nicely tended. A couple of times garden staff heard us wondering about something and they answered our questions. You could tell they clearly have pride in their work. Beautiful.

The staff are all friendly and helpful. There are so much to see, especially now when the Alice exhibit has returned. It is most excellent! Most paths correspond with the labelled map provided at the main entrance. However, in some areas there needs to be more signage, like how to get to the Earth Goddess (not a lot of people know it as the Cascade Garden). The fork before didn’t have enough clear indication. I would love to take the guided tour, but I believed the website said there is only one daily at 10:30am. I would definitely come back again for another visit.

What a gem for the community! The gardens are very well maintained with paths that wander all over the place, delighting you with the view around every new corner. The staff at the restaurant are excellent and the food choices were unexpectedly high end. Although we just had a snack and a beer, service was attentive and the food was delicious. I would definitely try this as a dinner venue.

If you want to kill time and spend it sightseeing with family, I HIGHLY recommend this place! There is so much to see. They have beautifully organized rows of all kinds of plants and flowers. Truly such an impressive sight to see. The variety of plants is amazing! They have multiple different gardens, each are super unique. They also have different greenhouses as well, they had an orchid one, a desert one, and a tropical one. They are so immersive, it felt as though I had walked into Pandora from Avatar.

A well maintained botanical garden inside the heart of Atlanta. It’s worth a visit for locals and visitors. Currently they are showcasing Alice in wonderland exhibit. I love their detail oriented to make sure that a person with wheelchair can see whole garden easily. Parking can be challenging on the weekends. They do have a few designated EV chargers available. We spent about 3 hours enjoying our time.

This is my happy place, if you have time to kill and don't want to be indoors, head here. Lots of walking, lots of benches for not walking, plenty space for little & big ones to runaround. Came here with my fiancé for something fun to do while visiting Atlanta. Admission was worth every penny. We came during an Alice-in-Wonderland theme at the park and we were amazed by the botanical sculptures. So much to see.Additionally, we explored the children's sections of the park, packed with sights and activities for the kiddos. Very fun, cute, and in some cases, educational!

My visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden was absolutely amazing. This place is a true gem, offering an immersive experience for nature lovers. During the day, you get to enjoy the beauty of their extensive collection of plants, with some of the most breathtaking flowers and greenery I’ve ever seen. What makes it even more special is the potential it has at night. While I didn’t stay after dark, it’s clear that the way they light up the trees transforms the garden into something magical. I can imagine it being a whole different world at night with the lighting, making it worth experiencing both during the day and after sunset. If you’re ever in Atlanta, I highly recommend visiting this garden—it’s a peaceful escape that leaves a lasting impression.

Really nice botanical gardens. The themed Alice in Wonderland was pretty cool. Like a scavenger hunt for the decorated statue things. Lots to see and walk around, especially if you like plants. The indoor tropical plant houses were really cool, got to see some frogs and turtles. But lots of really cool flowers and unique plants. Definitely makes me want to buy some fancy plants and grow them. The skybridge walk across the road was really cool and very unsuspecting. I had no idea that bridge was that cool driving underneath it. Lots of shade on that side of the park.

I visit Atlanta at least once a year and no trip is complete without a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Sure, there are many things to see and do in Atlanta, but for my money the beauty and serenity found here is matchless.Amongst the many regular things to see (like the Earth Goddess) there’s always something new happening. This last visit showcased a flock of scarecrows placed all over the grounds! Such fun!Next time you’re in Atlanta, stop by, relax and amble around this amazing space nestled in the city!

We really enjoyed our visit here to see the Alice in Wonderland exhibit. We spent a lot longer here than anticipated because there was so much to see and do! We went on a Thursday when they serve cocktails and I enjoyed a yummy beer as well. Overall I highly recommend it!

This is a phenomenal place to visit with just about anyone at any age! People of all ages really enjoy the sights to the garden!I was so excited to see Alice in Wonderland return.I will say with the heat we are experiencing, I highly advise bringing some water and a fan with you. There are maps available when you first start your adventure that can double as a fan 😉 You can easily be here for around 2 hours without noticing! It’s a wonderful place to take aesthetic pictures as well.

The gardens was clean and pretty. The trails were walkable and there was plenty of seating all throughout. The big exhibits (Alice in Wonderland) were the best part to me. Other than the exotic plants and the conservatory, I think I have a good bit of the same plants in my backyard. They were arranged nice though.I think Botanical Gardens in general just aren’t my cup of tea, but I was also really frustrated walking around. The exhibit names didn’t all match the map so it was hard to figure out where on the map I was and signage was lacking, to say the least. There were several other people I saw and talked to who had the same issue.

Parking: $9.00 for me. I was there for about 2 hours so I don't know if it's more.Atmosphere:Breathe taking. I enjoy being outdoors. The flowers and plants are lovely. The theme I want more of Alicia and the wonderland.I will be back

What an outstanding way to spend the day! We went for the first time today with all three kids and everyone had a blast. There are so many amazing things to see like the Earth Goddess, the suspension bridge (canopy walk), the singing flowers, and so much more. The greenhouses are jam packed with crazy plants, and everything in the entire park is just so well maintained. It truly is a plant lovers dream!Pro Tip: Definitely consider bringing a backpack with water. When it's sunny out, you're gonna feel it!

This place was stunning!! The Alice in Wonderland theme was amazing. All of the plants were lush and green. I was shocked by how amazing this place was. I 100% recommend coming here. All of the greenery was breathtaking, and I can tell that tons of love goes into maintaining it. The gardens are so intricate, and I wouldn't be lying if I said that I didn't see even one wilted leaf. It was my favorite stop in all of Atlanta, and you should definitely stop there.

Stunning. The plant sculptures were gorgeous and so creative. The bridge walk through the woods was refreshing. Certainly, summer in Atlanta is hot; however, there were several buildings scattered throughout the grounds to go into and cool off. Wearing lightweight breathable clothing would be wise. I appreciated that there were plenty of restrooms and water fountains.

I have never been here for you before so I cannot say for sure but I think it is well worth it to go and they have a thing going on. Currently it is the Alice in Wonderland theme and it is out of this world. The garden was extremely expensive and if it was not so hot we probably could have stayed here longer but we did end up staying here for about 5 hours which was plenty of time. On the weekend they have a cooking demonstration which was a nice break from the heat. There's definitely something for everybody here and for anybody who's into herpetology they also have turtles. They offer military discount which was very nice. Parking was extremely long so we were happy we walked. The only downside is that you can only reenter if it is less than 15 minutes from when you leave. This was not idea. Overall though. I had a great time.

Incredible experience. So glad I got to see the Alice exhibit and the glass art exhibits! The orchid house is gorgeous, a must see. Great walk, probably two or so hours for the whole place at a mid moderate pase. Probably longer with children but they did have a big grass area with live kids music and activities. The Lillie's were a great sight too! So much beautiful art spread around, especially the glass chandelier.

The Fox Theatre is located in Midtown Atlanta and has been used for performances of Broadway shows, concerts, and other events. It features ornate interiors with a Moorish theme, 3,600-pipe organ, and capacity of nearly 5,000 people.
We came to town to see the paw patrol tour so you can already assume that I had a child with me. Seats were great, theater was a bit chilly but we knew to plan for that! Restrooms were clean and plenty of staff to help with ALLLLLL the children! Loved this experience and will be back

I love the Fox Theatre. I have been here so many times throughout my lifetime I can’t count. More recently, I went to the Fox to see The Lion King and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The show was amazing and mesmerizing. Everything was great from the costumes to the music. And the Fox is such a beautiful and enchanting space.

Visited the Fox theatre for a tour of the establishment! It was a great experience learning about how the theatre was built, the struggles it had to withstand over the past 94 yrs and how it has evolved to the mesmerizing place it is today. If you are in Atlanta, this is a must visit! Allen - our tour guide did a wonderful job of making the tour feel extra special. Hoping to catch a show here sometime :)

We watched The lion king this weekend and musical itself was just perfect!Every moves the actors made and singing was amazing..bringing all the childhood memory back! But the bathroom situation in fox theater is disastrous. Cannot believe how little of the toilets stalls are in that such a big event venue, and intermission was only 15 mins..Many people had miss the first 10 mins of second half show and got angry because we all paid stiff price for the tickets.Seriously need some improvement on that

They call it the Fabulous Fox for a reason! After seeing many performances here, we decided to kick off the Halloween season with a ghost tour here. The walking tour was jammed packed with history and tales of reported ghostly sighting as we were led through the nooks and crannies of this gorgeous theater. MVP goes to the ghost of Roosevelt (10/7/23.)One word of caution, avoid the Espresso Martini...it's terribly frightful.

An absolutely AMAZING venue! It’s absolutely stunning.Every seat offers an excellent view and comfortable seats, leg room and space between people (I’m short and not too wide).Bathrooms on each of the 3 levels.2 levels of snacks/drinks.Exit on each level directly to the street.Plenty of street parking even when football games are happening at the stadium nearby for as little as $8 a 5 minute walk away. Other lots are $40-100.

Wow, I was so worried about having a bad seat but as soon as I stepped in I realized there was no bad seat. I'm not someone who is easily impressed and after hearing all the reviews about how beautiful this place was, my expectations were pretty high yet even so this place blew them away. It is insanely gorgeous inside here. The ceiling is just beautiful and really transports you out of this world you just have to experience it in person to know what I'm talking about. One thing that surprised me was that everyone was dressed up. This was my first time at a Broadway show so I just wore a hoodie and some cargo pants but people were dressed up in suits and ball gowns, just keep that in mind. There's a bathroom and concession stands that have popcorn and drinks. The coke I bought was $5 (it was the one in the bottle) and there's that tip screen that pops up as well so there's that. The bathrooms were very clean and able to accommodate a lot of people. The seats were very good but there wasn't that much legroom so my knees were cramping up. Thank God for that intermission. If you're looking for a super quick bite to eat before the show, I recommend going to Papi's Cuban kitchen. It was very good. The prices were decent and the food came out fast. There was also an elevator in here for accessibility access. All in all I was very impressed and recommend everyone to see a show here!

Saw Hamilton here this review. Have been here at least half a dozen times over 10 years. It is honestly hard to find a bad seat in the entire establishment. The scenery and decoration inside the theater as well as the concession area is top shelf and absolutely beautiful.Do you go down to the bathroom area after you enter to find concession stands that are empty with no lines!Parking is always terrible here so be prepared to pay $10-$30 for a spot depending on how close. Highly recommended for in town and out of town. The show was amazing would definitely come back.

I have been fortunate enough to visit the Fox multiple times and see incredible performances of Annie, Finding Neverland, and Freaky Friday; however, my main focus is on the bedazzling spectacle that was Les Misérables on Saturday night, June 9th, 2024! This theatre is always packed with people so make sure to come early and prepared. The interior is absolutely stunning and very elegant. The show was just amazing. The singing performances were out of this world, the set was perfectly crafted, and the narrative was touching. The show was about 3 hours with a 20 minute interval. If you ever get the chance to come see a musical at the Fox, do not miss the opportunity

The Fox Theatre feels like a part of my story, from seeing Wide Spread Panic, 10'000 Maniacs, Squeeze, Adam Ant, REM, Meat Loaf, John Cougar, INXS, Blues Traveler, Pearl Jam, Tommy Shaw and Styx and most recently the Broadway show Shrek it just feels like home. Architecturally, its like stepping into a sheik's palace and I love the balcony, where you can sit under the stars as they glisten above you.

I took my granddaughter and sister to see The Lion King. Upon entering the Fox Theatre the line was moving quickly. The ushers were welcoming and strategically placed to answer questions, provide directions to your seat, or whatever else was needed. We were directed to the extra magic bags which contained a large and colorful program. We had seats that were six rows from the stage. The performance was outstanding; two curtain calls of outstanding. My granddaughter's eyes were round saucers and her mouth never closed in awe. That made the experience all the more satisfying. After the curtain calls, all exits were opened to allow for a steady flow out of the theatre. A wonderful time was had by all.

Must go to place. The theater is amazing. Hamilton is playing here and what can I say. Amazing performance great seating. Now I recommend sitting in the middle area. Picture is from my seat which again sit in the middle when booking. I will not add anymore photos to ruin the experience. Planning the next show to see. Handicap seating is really available but the ushers and the staff of the theater are there to help. It is downtown area of Atlanta so cost on everything is much higher.

I attended the Kurtis Blow Hip Hop Nutcracker with my group of girlfriends. The Fox Theater is an absolutely beautiful venue. We sat in the balcony, and we had a terrific view of the stage. A great time was had by all!

The theater is beautiful and overall it’s usually a good time, but they really need to fix their audio. I have seen Hamilton and Wicked there and both were so quiet in parts you could not hear the lyrics. These shows are premium tickets and there is no reason to have to struggle to hear. New audio would make this theater 5 stars for sure. Overall, all it’s a good venue.

Parking was not difficult. Used the red lot. Arrival was not a hassle. Walked easily to the front of the venue. Made our way through concessions and to our seats via an organized flow. The venue itself was very nice, and we enjoyed Hamilton!

I recently had the chance to see "The Lion King" at The Fox Theater in Atlanta, and while the venue has a lot of charm, my overall experience was a bit underwhelming.First, the renovations that have taken place over the years are noticeable, one crucial element feels lacking: the stage size. Coming from experiences at various Broadway shows, I was surprised by how small the stage at The Fox felt. For a production as grand as "The Lion King," I expected a majestic presentation, but instead, it felt more like a school talent show. The narrow stage limited the visual impact of many of the performances, which was disappointing.I had seats in the main orchestra, specifically in the front third, and while the view was decent, the cramped staging made it hard to fully engage with the show. It felt like a missed opportunity for the kind of spectacle this production is known for.Additionally, the sound quality left much to be desired. It felt as though all the speakers were concentrated in the front area, which created a flat, one-dimensional audio experience. The surround sound effect that usually enhances such a grand production was notably absent, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the music and dialogue.Furthermore, the staffing seemed insufficient. There weren’t enough attendants to help patrons find their seats, which led to a bit of confusion and frustration as people shuffled around. Even during the performance, it would have been nice to have someone circulating to ensure the audience remained quiet and engaged.Overall, while The Fox Theater has a storied history and often hosts fantastic Broadway shows, I’m not sure if I’ll rush back anytime soon. I hope they consider making some adjustments to the stage, sound system, and staffing for future productions to enhance the experience for audiences.

Wonderful experience during a comedy show. Very nice staff and it was easy to navigate through, even on a really busy night. They serve drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and popcorn. I didn’t see other foods but I also didn’t wait in line. The building was clean and they have a smoking area. The surround sound and TV screens were working well and we heard/saw the comedian very clearly. We prepaid parking and it was pretty simple to get to and from our parking space at the venue.

I have always wanted to visit the Fox Theater and am so glad to have finally made it there! The entire approach and entrance are absolutely beautiful. I felt like there was so much that needed to be seen before we enjoyed the show that brought us there. It really takes you back in time to imagine all the greats that performed in the theater. The theater which looked like the skies surrounding Alladin's Castle. Aside from the beauty of it all, the ushers were all very helpful and kind, and seemed glad to be there. If you ever get the opportunity to visit and take a look around - do it! You will not be disappointed.

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the world's largest aquariums and is perfect for both adults and children. It offers an educational experience while also allowing visitors to see fascinating marine life. The attraction often hosts special events such as Sips Under the Sea which sells out quickly.
I recently visited the Georgia Aquarium with my two goddaughters, and we all had an amazing time! The variety of marine life and interactive exhibits kept us engaged for hours. Watching their faces light up as they saw the whale sharks and dolphins was truly priceless. The staff was friendly and informative, enhancing our overall experience. It was a wonderful day out for both kids and adults. Highly recommended for a fun and educational family outing!

Absolute GREAT experience!!!! Visited the Aquarium on Saturday around 10am, no line. Viewed all the attractions. Enjoyed live entertainment, pirates walking on stilts interacting with guests, dancers, and singers. Loved all the animals but the Shark Whales are now my favorite. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend stopping in.Can't wait to come back in the evening for trick r treat.

The Georgia Aquarium is iconic for many reasons. We came here using the Atlanta City Pass and were able to go to five different attractions for a very reasonable price. When we arrived, they said that only tickets for a specific time would be allowed inside. City Pass does not have that constraint, so we were able to walk right in. This is a great place, but it was super busy. Every exhibit was crowded to the point where I felt rushed and not enjoying the experience, but there were some moments where I did. They also had the collaboration with Animal Crossing and we got to meet the Tom Nook and Isabelle mascots, which was super cool! They also had little signs with information from the game with educational components which was also very neat to see! The exhibits here are awesome. The animals have plenty of space and plenty of care which I love about this aquarium and other AZA-accredited aquariums. We probably spent about 2.5 hours here. There's a lot to look at, and I could probably spend hours watching some of the animals swim around. The whale sharks are one of the most unique things about this aquarium, and seeing them in person is so cool. They are magnificent creatures and I am glad that there is a facility here that can foster their success. They have done a lot of great conservation work and education. Their gift shop is huge and has a lot of pricey items, but I like to think that the money goes to a good place.

Let me start by saying, this aquarium is by far the best my family and I have been too. The staff are all welcoming and the facilities are clean. They really cater to families and keep nursing mothers in mind. All four stars go to the entertainment and the amazing marine life Georgia Aquarium cares for. what an amazing learning experience and the fact you can literally spend the whole day here made it even more worth it. Also, loved that they decorated for Halloween, wish I can see how they setup for Christmas! The show dolphin and sea lion shows were absolutely amazing and really set the bar high. A must visit attraction when in Georgia.Took a star away due to the food offered. Wasn’t great at all, so I do recommend eating prior to entering the aquarium as the food/drinks are a bit overpriced for what you get in terms of quality and taste.Overall the best experience!

YOU GOT TO SEE THIS PLACE!!! Never saw overflown trash. The dolphin shown was a definitely worth the watch. We paid the extra for the best seats in the house which I recommend getting to be able to see at the right spot. Sea lion show was adorable aswell but the dolphin show was the best as my girls state.Buying tickets online was a breeze. Would come back for the aquarium but the outside was the scare read below….!!!!!!!!!READ!!!!!!! This will not affect the score of review please read!!!After leaving the aquarium I recommend keeping an eye on the children of yours and stay away from the playground across the street. I went to go get the car and left my mom and the 2girls for them to play. Well my mom had daughter someone recording my daughter with a recording device. My mom quick thinking got the girls and walked off but he walked up to her asking for money. She was on the phone with me at the time asking for me hurry back to where she was. I told her to walk over to the valet across the street to get around other people in the opening.WATCH YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!! Trafficking is real and happening!!

The Georgia Aquarium is an incredible place that offers an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with stunning displays and an impressive range of marine life, from playful dolphins to awe-inspiring whale sharks. The Ocean Voyager exhibit, with its massive tank, is a true highlight—walking through the tunnel surrounded by such a variety of sea creatures is magical. The layout of the aquarium is well thought out, making it easy to explore each section, and there’s plenty of interactive exhibits for kids and adults alike. The dolphin and sea lion shows are also a must-see, showcasing both the intelligence of the animals and the dedication of their trainers. The only minor downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends or holidays, which can make it hard to fully enjoy some of the exhibits. A bit more space in certain areas would make it perfect. That said, the aquarium is clean, well-maintained, and full of fascinating educational information.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium is one of the best I've visited—definitely worth the trip and almost perfect in every way!

I have been to this aquarium a few times and every single time it’s AMAZING. I have to give a special shout out to our behind the scenes tour guide, Joseph. He was so kind, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about the aquarium and the animals. He made the tour really fun and engaging. It was pretty crowded while we were there but he said hi to me when he saw me later. It really made me feel seen and boosted my excitement. Every exhibit is so cool and I think I could spend forever at this aquarium.

Celebrated our granddaughter's birthday at the Aquarium. Cost a small fortune. The longer you wait to buy your tickets on a day trip, the more you pay. Food costs were more than Disney's prices which is saying a lot. However, the Aquarium is very clean, organized and we saw a lot of really cool things. I do wish there were more interactive things to do with children. All and all...we had a great time and spent 4hrs and we were able to see pretty much everything and have lunch.

It's amazing here. Definitely see the shows. The sea lion and dolphin shows were both amazing. I recommend going as early as possible to the dolphin show as it is a huge auditorium and it fills up fast. Also, the soak zone is no joke. It isn't light splashes, people were drenched and the water was cold. I sat in the 11th row (first row of blue seats) and still got splashed (a couple droplets). Center seats are better than side seats for viewing.

If your looking for a good way to spend some time this place is definitely it. Took roughly 2.5hrs to leisurely see everything and there's even special educational shows you can watch. This place was everything I had hoped an aquarium to be from a giant under water wall to hands on experiences and special tours. All of the exhibits have informational plaques on what is in each tank and some even have special viewing areas that put you up close. All of the exhibits were stunning and full of life.

From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were transported into an enchanting underwater world filled with vibrant marine life and awe-inspiring exhibits. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the mesmerizing sharks. Watching these majestic creatures glide gracefully through the water was both exhilarating and humbling. It’s an incredible reminder of the beauty and mystery that our oceans hold. And if that wasn’t enough, the dolphin show was the cherry on top! The playful dolphins showcased their intelligence and grace, leaving us in awe of their incredible talents. It was a joy to see them interact with their trainers and perform breathtaking stunts.I wholeheartedly recommend setting aside at least 3-4 hours for your visit, especially if you want to take in the full experience and reserve time for the shows. Each exhibit offers something unique, and there’s so much to learn and discover. It’s a feast for the senses and a wonderful opportunity to connect with the wonders of the aquatic world. As we soaked in the sights and sounds, I couldn’t help but think how perfect this place would be for our kids. The Atlanta Aquarium is not just a destination; it’s an invitation to explore, to wonder, and to bond as a family. Our group of 10 recently visited the Georgia Aquarium, and it was an incredible experience for everyone. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the variety and scale of the exhibits. The aquarium is beautifully designed, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a space where visitors can learn about marine life while having a lot of fun.One of the highlights for our group was the Ocean Voyager exhibit. Seeing the enormous whale sharks up close was awe-inspiring, and the underwater tunnel made us feel like we were truly submerged in their world. The Beluga whales were another favorite, gracefully gliding through the water and offering us a glimpse of their playful personalities. The wide viewing window and the dolphins show were my favorite. I sat for 15 min listening to music and watching the window. You can sit on the stairs facing the window and enjoy the view. The aquarium has a wide range of species on display, from tiny colorful fish to massive sea creatures. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re fascinated by sharks, dolphins, or even jellyfish. The interactive exhibits were a hit, especially for the kids in our group, who loved getting hands-on with the touch pools. What really stood out was how well-organized everything was, despite the large number of visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the exhibits and ensuring we had a great experience.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium exceeded our expectations. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta, whether you’re with family, friends, or a large group like ours. We all left with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for marine life.

In my decades of life, this will be one of my most unforgettable experiences and best memories, and it will also be my favorite aquarium to visit. Visiting the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, gave me a rich knowledge of the world of marine life.Georgia Aquarium is one the most top in the world. In the environment of this huge aquarium, from the entrance to the exit, I saw many creatures from the depths of the vast ocean, as well as other marine amphibians. From some small shallow sea creatures that appeared in front of me at the beginning to the huge fish swimming in the deep sea hall, they all attracted my attention strongly. This made me have a strong desire to learn about them.In this aquarium, we saw dolphins, manta rays (stingrays/devil fish), sharks, beluga whale, seahirses, sea turtles, penguins and many other large and small, strange and colorful marine life. When we walked into the deep water exhibition hall, what appeared in front of us seemed to be a huge TV screen, or a huge glass wall display window, showing a group of large and small marine life swimming inside. We also walked into a large underwater glass tunnel about 100 meters long. Here, we saw many kinds of deep-sea creatures swimming in the water above our heads. We were really excited, as if they were really within reach above our heads. We can also go to the viewing platform on the top of the aquarium to look down at the beluga whale and sharks floating on the water, and marvel at their huge bodies more than ten meters long in front of us.Visitors who like to watch marine life performances can also stay longer in the museum to watch the performances. In conclusion, this huge aquarium in Atlanta of Georgia USA is really a top aquarium we must visit in our life. No doubt how much cost and tired feel you will get, it absolutely is worth to visit. We can use Atlanta City Pass or purchase tickets online preparing a convenient visit of ours. Hope you will be satisfied for coming here.

Place is absolutely enormous and much bigger than you're anticipating. I love going to aquariums and have always wanted to visit. While evacuating from hurricane Milton, I had to go through Atlanta and decided to stop in. I loved every exhibit and the place was crowded even for a Thursday. I figured it wouldn't be.Went and saw the dolphin show while there and, while tacky, was still entertaining. You know people are having fun when the screams of being splashed drowns out the music.Absolutely recommend visiting at least once. Easily the best aquarium I've ever been to.

I’ve been here twice! The last time was just last week with my husband. We spent about $53 each and stayed for 3-4 hours. We didn’t reserve our tickets in advance, we just went there and bought tickets from their kiosk. We had a great time! Since we went on a weekday, the crowd was small, making the experience even more enjoyable. We reserved tickets to watch both the sea lion and dolphin shows! Food? A bit pricey. We didn’t eat there.

World of Coca-Cola is a museum which is dedicated to the history and culture of Coca Cola. It features hundreds of artifacts, some of which illustrate the success and popularity of the drink in different parts of the world for 132 years. The museum contains exhibits about different aspects of Coca Cola's history from its invention to its current branding strategies. There is also a working reproduction of the bottling line that produces Coke bottles all over the world.
My family and I had a fantastic time on the visit, which we had planned in advance by purchasing tickets. They've done a great job maintaining the historical data and relevant information. The best thing, though, has to be the variety of drinks available worldwide. We tried a lot, but there were too many to sample. The store that sold goodies was also really beautiful; we bought a lot of stuff for my two-year-old kid. Overall, if you're ever in Atlanta, I'd advise you to try to visit this location.

I had just one day to explore Atlanta and decided to check out the World of Coca-Cola. While it was a fun experience overall, I found it a bit pricey for what it offers. The museum itself felt slightly dusty and could use some updates, especially considering the ticket cost and that it’s Coca-Cola. That said, it was still enjoyable to see the secret recipe vault and take part in several fun photo ops along the way. The highlight was definitely the tasting room at the end, where you get to try Coca-Cola beverages from around the world. A good time, but could be better for the price!

Really fun for people of all ages. ALSO FREE FOR MILITARY AND VETERANS! Thanks for supporting our troops Coke!

Read a bunch of comments on reddit about how World of Coca-Cola was a tourist trap but my daughter wanted to go so I kept my opinions to myself. I'm glad I did because it was a good time. I didn't think that initially when we were forced to watch what was essentially a six minute commercial for Coca-Cola at the start but it got better. The tasting room was indeed great but whether it was $21 great ($63 total) will be up to each individual to decide. For me, it was a decent way to spend 90 minutes with my family. I would not recommend visiting on a weekend, I was there on a Monday and the screening room was full.

I recently visited the Coca-Cola Museum with my goddaughters, and we had a fantastic time! The exhibits were engaging and interactive, providing a fun learning experience for all of us. We especially enjoyed the tasting room, where we could try different Coca-Cola products from around the world. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful outing, and I highly recommend it for a fun and educational day with the family.

Pretty good experience, haven't been in a while. Only thing I didn't like was the guided tour that was in front of us. Staff would shut each exhibit down so the 5-6 person tour. The exhibits can handle much more than 5 people. I understand they paid more but integrate it in with the self guided tours. That's ridiculous making everyone wait. Everything else was fun and enjoyable.

Very thorough and intentional experience of the Coca-Cola brand! The guy who kicked everything off was superb and really set the tone. I had a great time visiting with wife and friends. You can taste sodas from all over the world at the end. Everyone should do it once.

I am not quite sure if it is worth visiting. Spending couple of bucks more for visiting Aquarium is much better option. It seams little bit outdated, the staff was not rude but also not kind. At the beginning they force you to watch some 10yrs old video which last 6 minutes. The only interesting things is maybe the tasting at the end, but from 20+ different flavours I liked 3, but some are really interesting.

What a fun museum!! A great place to spend an hour or two in Atlanta. Loved how interactive it was.The tasting room was very cool... It was fun to taste beverages from all around the world. (Despite the sugar high!)It was SUPER crowded on a weekend afternoon. By the time we got out (around 1pm), the line was across the park to get in.Overall, it was essentially a commercial for Coca Cola... But a really fun one.

July 2024I never knew so many people were interested in Coca-Cola where there was a huge line outside waiting to get inside. Luckily and recommend purchasing tickets online. They were just letting groups of people inside so can enjoy the place without overcrowding. As you wait they take your photo where at the end can purchase photos (print and digital) with different backgrounds. The place was full of Coca-Cola advertising memorabilia and the whole time spend 2 1/2 hours there. It's two stories and each section sometimes had a line to enter. The longest wait was to enter the vault but dd not see the secret formula where in another safe inside. It's seems this was all for show. The rest had fun activities like smelling weird things and tasting different worldly flavors of Coca-Cola products. The have a small cafe but only sell packaged sandwiches and drinks. There was a larger cafe outside next to the Georgia Aquarium. It was really fun to explore. You exit through the taste it! room into a huge store. You can enter the store without entering the World of Coca-Cola. They had all the merchandise with Coca-Cola on it. I took home a bag full of it.Overall a great place to visit but was hoping had some flavors from the Disney's Epcot location and sold bottled drinks from around the world.

Having been to the old Coke plant before I wasn’t sure what to expect coming here but it was better than I could have imagined. Very neat place to visit and enjoy one of our country’s great products and ever better stories of success in business. Hard work and dedication pay off big time for the company and its people for sure. The history is amazing and the memorabilia is priceless. Enjoy your time and don’t be in a rush. Take your time. Be sure and enjoy the faces of the people sampling soda around the world in the tasting room. You will get a kick out of the expression on people’s faces. Lol. Just a hint, we do it better than any other country on the planet! The staff are very kind and friendly. Seem to enjoy their job. Enjoy your visit.

When I was young, I was a Pepsi kid. Older and wiser, now i think Coke is definitely the soft drink I prefer whenever I have a soda. In saying that, this place was cool to check out for a couple of hours. A lot of interactive exhibits and just the history behind Coca-Cola were very interesting. At the end, they have a large area to grab a small cup and sample A LOT of different products from around the world. Just a people watching suggestion, hang out around the dispenser that has "Beverly" from Italy. Look at people's reaction to tasting this one...I promise you, it will be time well spent.

So fun!! Absolutely loved my visit here.Wasn't really a wait outside. Got out tickets and went right in. At the start there is a small educational introduction to the museum and the 3 areas you will be able to explore on your own, we went right to the vault and got to try a new coke flavor, it was pink and kind of tasted like strawberry cream bubblegum to me. Then we made our way to a memorabilia hall and did some smelling guesses for some things. (The thought of putting my face to where hundreds of other people put their face to smell bothered me) But it was still fun! Obviously, the funnest room is the tasting room where there are soda fountain stations from all over the world, some were delicious, others were some of the foulest things I've put in my mouth. I think some of the worst that stood out to me was a Sour Plum fanta from China, or this Honey flavored soda. The worst of all lived up to its reputation, The Beverly is easily one of the nastiest chemical foul sodas I've ever put in my mouth. Me and all of my friends recoiled in disgust. It was a really fun time. Very sticky floors in that room. The gift shop has really nice quality clothes and merchandise as well.

The World of Coca-Cola was such a fun and interactive experience! The tickets were affordable, and we had a great time exploring everything. There’s so much to see and do, and the interactive exhibits really make you enjoy the entire experience. Highly recommend!

Oh boy... my wife and I were super excited to visit the World of Coca-Cola museum, but it left a lot to be desired. Firstly, you can buy your tickets in advance, but then when you get to the museum, there's a MASSIVE line to get in. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but when you choose a time slot for your ticket in advance, you would think that the museum would adjust and properly sort it all out so you can enter when it's time but it just felt extremely chaotic. Right before you get into the actual musuem, you're ushered into a room to look at historical artifacts and then ushered into a theatre room which probably adds to the bottleneck issue (our qualm with this is that the initial artifact room had some really interesting stuff in there that was essentially rushed through since you need to get into the theatre room immediately after their initial introductions). After finally getting into the museum, the chaos continued because as you walk through exhibits, you're not sure if there are showings, videos, etc. and none of the staff is really trying to help or guide people. So you're REALLY on your own. Overall, it felt like a money grab museum... the only thing that we really liked was the Taste It! Exhibit where you get to taste Coca-Cola beverages from around the world that you may not be able to get in your local country. The gift shop had a lot of good variety of stuff to buy and some things that maybe you can only get in other countries but because this is their museum they have those options here. At the end of the day, it was an experience nonetheless, whether it was good or bad, it was good to experience it at least once. Maybe I'll come with my children down the line, but I would never come again just because I was around or feeling it. Definitely not one of those museums you want to keep coming back to, nor does it give you any incentive to.

I am giving one star not because that’s didn’t have a nice building, or interesting exhibits but because it it not worth $22. We had five in our group and every one of us were wondering what we paid $22.00 for. It is max a $9 value. Lower your prices a bit and I will put four stars here. After paying $20 to park, we paid $130 for about 30 minutes of entertainment.

I came from out of town as a tourist just wanting to get out in the city and explore Atlanta. This museum was an amazing experience and treat. When you arrive you’ll be taking a picture from the staff I wasn’t sure what it was for at first but it’s just for memories. After that you get to explore the history, the many brands that Coca Cola owns outside of the soda , you get to do a smell test of different scents, a taste test of different Coca Cola flavors/ products from around the world , & you finish off with the merchandise shop which didn’t disappoint I just wish I had more money. Overall great experience, great location, great atmosphere. 10/10 highly recommended and I am definitely coming again !! I also recommend getting the city pass where you have the option to go to the other festivities as well like the aquarium, and history museum that’s in the same location as well so save money on buying tickets individually.

First time visiting the World of Coca-Cola since they moved from the Underground Area. Loved the exhibits, the stories, and the taste room. The taste room had some good flavors from around the world, but also some that were disgusting. It was a very enjoyable experience. You have to be patient since there is a lot of kids, different nationalities, and just people trying to take in the experience. A must if in Atlanta.

It has been a long time since the Coca-Cola Museum was relocated, and I love how they explain the history of the beginning of this corporation. The kids and young people have a lot of fun and entertainment. We had a great time. If you have never been to Atlanta, Georgia, I recommend to add to the list on your next vacations

Hones share: We didn't want to pay for the museum since we only had 1 hour before they closed. However the Gift Shop is next to it and it's free. You can see inside the tasting center from one of the sides of the gift shop and honestly it was cool but not worth paying for, for us. We bought a lot of gifts for our Coca-Cola loving family and all the employees were friendly and helpful. We loved the gift shop and did spend a pretty penny so be prepared for the prices. I would go back again and shop there. The park outside was also very pretty. We went on a Monday afternoon and were so happy with the amount of people there, it was not jammed full and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Stone Mountain, a massive monolith with a Confederate carving, can be accessed by cable car. While some attractions may be closed out of season and the tram to the peak may close due to wind, it is still a recommended destination for all ages. The mountain offers breathtaking views on clear days and visitors can also learn about its history at the museum located on two floors. Climbing up the mountain may take longer depending on physical ability or alternatively, taking the gondola is an option.
We came back for the Christmas shows, parking 20, tickets 35, beautiful decoration, parade, and the lights show.

I visited it with my friend's family last June. This place seems to be a park, museum, and amusement park!! You can easily climb to the top of the mountain by sky ride. Reach the top, you can eat delicious ice cream and a cold drink, too. As soon as I stepped on the top of stone mountain, I felt like I had landed on the moon. 🤩A few good tips:1. The parking fee is not cheap but if you are planning to visit there twice or more, I recommend buying annual pass.2. Let the children wear clothes that don't matter if they get wet. There's a water splash attraction that kids really like. Swimsuit? Very good!3. There is a nice train attraction, too. However, if you don’t have enough time and if weather is very hot, the train is not recommended.4. Bring a simple lunch box. It's hard to find a good restaurant there. In closing, Take a lot of great pictures and have a great time! 😍

Highly recommended for anyone.

Wanted to hike while visiting one of my close childhood friends and we ended up settling for this place the day before I had to head back home. For parking it was $20 so just keep that and mind and it was also $20 for the sky ride if you would like to experience that as well. We had a really good time and are glad we went when we did because we got to watch the sunset which made this hike 10000% better. You can see the whole sky and trees from all different parts of this mountain so makes it cool for a couple different stops. For sure should at least check this place out once if you haven’t been there before..

Stone Mountain is iconic in Georgia, it’s a public park on a humungous size, it covers over 3,000 acres, it’s main claim to fame is the Stone Mountain Hike which I believe is about 1.5 miles, it’s a hike of various level of steepness’s on exposed granite, proper walking shoes are encouraged, it’s not for one who may have health issues, another way to the top is via the sky ride , the views from the top are amazing, stunning and beautiful, on the other side is faces cast into the granite which is also the position for the light show which occurs at certain times of the year in the evening. The other side of the park houses the amusement and playgrounds for the kids and us larger kids, there is the gift show for a wide range of merchandise relating to getting to the top of Stone Mountain. There is ample car parking available and size of the park makes a great place for walkers and joggers alike

Visited Georgia this weekend and finally decided to visit Stone Mountain Park, paid $20 for the day parking which I thought was pretty good and decided to take the loop 5.5 mile trail around the mountain, saw a nice mill house and a couple of deer along as well the lake was gorgeous, got really close to the side of the mountain and looking up was a splendid carving on the mountain, I got to say it was good work put in to it. I saw the train from the train and it was fun to watch. After the trail I decided to leave the park to get something to eat then came back and entered with no problems and made my way up the mountain, it was the perfect timing when I got to the top the sun was just going down, which I had a great view of the sunset setting down on the city of Atlanta. What a great place to visit, I didn't get to see the attractions but it's okay the trail was worth it, take care now.

Stone Mountain is a great park to visit. Both the walking trail around the mountain or up the mountain provides a great view and a enjoyable experience. If you visit I definitely recommend doing the walking trail to the top of the mountain. It's a little under 700 ft in elevation gain and you get a great view of Atlanta and the surrounding area.

A store located at the top provides refreshments and snacks, while an outside area allows visitors to appreciate more beautiful views. Stone Mountain Park is highly recommended for anyone seeking a destination with breathtaking scenery and panoramic vistas.
The mountain was clean, it was a pretty good hike for us. The walk up trail was good, we were lucky to see a white tailed deer on the way up. The mountain is completely granite, it's smooth. A good grip shoe helps to get control while to get up the last part of the trail. There is a small snack bar in the top, good hot chocolate and popcorn served. You can get tram tickets as well..

The views in Stone Mountain Park were breathtaking. There are so many trails and areas to visit. I do recommend driving to the different trails because the park is huge and they are all very spaced out. The mountain is very impressive in person! Unfortunately, the majority of the attractions and restaurants were closed, including the train. Kayaks require reservation and we’re fully booked for the duration of our trip. Parking is $20 and $40 for the whole year which is a great deal.

Ocmulgee National Monument is a significant site that showcases over 10,000 years of Native American history. It features ancient earthworks built before 1000 CE by indigenous people from the South Appalachian region. The visitor center houses an archeology museum exhibiting various artifacts from the area. Visitors can explore one of the mounds and witness a 1,000-year-old floor with a ceremonial eagle carving.
If you have any interest in a subject like this, then it's fascinating. If you have no interest, perhaps a visit here will spark it.

We all had such an awesome time during the annual Native American festival; the performances, the variety of booths with items to peruse and purchase, the hands-on learning stations that taught my d.d and I how to weave baskets, make cornhusk dolls and turquoise-beaded leather bracelets, as well as the many trails, and breathtaking views of the mounds was beyond what I expected. We ended the day with a nice cool down at the museum that had fairly in-depth exhibits and a modest gift shop. This will without a doubt be a yearly event our family will hope to never miss!

The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs. It's the second largest museum dedicated to aerospace run by the U.S. Air Force and attracts more visitors than any other attraction in Georgia outside of Atlanta. The museum spans four exhibition buildings and 21 hectares, showcasing 85 aircraft from across aviation's first hundred years.
Lots of cool things for kids to interact with. Very clean and quiet museum. I like that they have so many models and facts to read everywhere. The staff was nice. It was a week day and parking was not that bad. Go visit!

Very nicely done museum. We're history buffs and have gone to quite a few aviation museums and this museum highlighted things we had not seen before. The volunteers were very nice and friendly also. We did not check it out but it looks like there was a nice playground in a picnic area right next to the museum. You need about 2 - 2 and 1/2 hours to see the museum.

One of the best aviation exhibits I have ever seen!I have been to many, many exhibits and this one was fantastic. It had the most complete planes I’ve see on display and they have almost too many things to look at in the same place. I had to do a double take because I kept forgetting to look up! 😀I loved how they did the displays in context of how the aircraft were used in the various eras - super educational. If you live in the Atlanta area or are passing through this area you really should stop by. I think you could spend an entire day here and not see everything.

This place was AMAZING!!! I have a 6 yo daughter who wants to be a helicopter pilot and loved this museum. They have over 200 aircraft and although I’m not an aircraft enthusiast, I learned a lot, and was impressed by the layout on everything I saw, and touched!!! There were exhibits you can climb into (great for the adults AND kids) and also some there were very animated (lights, sounds). Not just planes to see, but also shells of bombs, fuel tanks, and restorations are also underway. There are 4 buildings to walkthrough, and then you can drive around the buildings so you can see other aircraft outside, as you leave the property.Very neat. And best of all…. FREE!!!

Free to visit. This is the second largest Air Force museum in the country behind the national Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio. This place is pretty cool. They had some rare airplanes. Different buildings that you can explore different themes in each building all Air Force related. This place you can spend a good half day or a day in and still probably not see everything. Make sure to visit the outside exhibits. Those are pretty cool. You can walk up touch experience. Check out Google satellite photos for what birds are out there.

What a fantastic exhibit! I never imagined one could fit so many planes in such a relatively small space; however, it’s incredibly well done. My ten year old nephew was with us and he enjoyed sitting in a cockpit so much that he insisted on returning to it before we left. He also appreciated sitting in the helicopter and wiggling the controls. This museum is unbelievably child friendly and accessible . Seeing the famous SR 71 Blackbird was unforgettable! The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable, the exhibits were clearly explained, and the artifacts numerous and fascinating. The skeletal plane with the paratroopers inside was creepy (in an Intriguing way). This was a day well spent, and I hope to get back there one day.

The wife and I took our kids here Saturday. Our son has lately been obsessed with all things military and with the free admission for all of us, it was an easy choice for an educational and engaging place.Three of the four buildings on site have at least one cockpit (plane, jet or helicopter) that you or the little ones (and in some cases, all of you) can climb into. Switches, buttons, knobs, levers, and all function in a tactile way that had our kids scrambling to get "just one more turn" at each place. Even our girls were fully engaged in all of it which was a pleasant surprise. Each building (hanger) has a large assortment of vehicles. Some have jeeps, ambulances, fire trucks, Hummers, all in addition to the variety of planes, jets and helicopters on display. You may even avoid the gift shop (you don't have to walk through it to leave) if you're really trying to avoid spending money for the day (it's rare somewhere truly has free admission no matter the occasion). That said, there were some very cool things in there, both for the kids and adults (toys, models, shirts, cups, blankets, books, stuffed animals and other assorted things). A stop into the store is a great way to help support the museum and get a fun item to have as a keepsake (or smash a penny and get the imprinted image on it).If you don't want more stuff cluttering up your place but still want to support the museum, there are donation boxes in every building. If you're looking for somewhere for the kids to be able to walk and burn off some energy, this is a great free option. There is a ton to read, a lot to learn and experience and a lot to look at. If you have very little children, a stroller may be a good idea unless you want to carry them. Towards the end, our girls got tired of walking. Our son however requested that we go back soon. He said it was the best day ever and so cool. Before we left, we stopped at the playground for the kids to play and jump and climb, swing and slide. We will definitely be going back sooner than later.

Fascinating planes from history. There is no refreshment area, so take water with you. You can always leave it in the car, as the parking lot is very convenient. Wear comfy shoes. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Give yourself 2 to 3 hours to see everything. Admission and parking are free, but donations are welcome. Nice gift shop.

What an awesome surprise!! I wasn't sure what to expect when I found this museum online. Ya know, typically you get what you pay for a d with the museum being free, I didn't think we'd get much. But my son and husband love planes, so I thought we should try it out. I'm so glad we did!! We arrived around 4:30pm and the museum closes at 5pm. So the lovely young lady who worked at the front desk of the main hanger directed us to a different hanger to experience one of the main attractions. This hanger held a plane that went from LA to DC in like an hour or 30 minutes...something short and crazy like that, lol! Anyway, this place had, I believe, four different hangers to see full of fascinating planes and aviation memorabilia. There were lots of huge planes outside to view as well. I wish we had gotten there earlier because we could have spent several hours here. It's definitely a great place to bring kids and really anyone! It's a true museum... and it's free! It was a great stop on our adventure through Middle Georgia. We plan to come back!!

If you are a teacher or principal this is a great place to take students for a field trip. Lots of history and cool information with planes and more on display here. The starbase academy program is fantastic for students very engaging, hands-on, and fun. The students won't even realize they are learning because they're having such a good time doing it.

I visited my best friend in Macon and we were trying to think of something to go do while I was there. Her brother suggested the Museum of Aviation. And to be honest, at first I wasn’t real excited about going, but it was actually very cool. The life like figures they have give it a very real feel. The history was very interesting as well. The employees there were very nice and willing to share information about whatever we were looking at. It was a great experience and I recommend going and checking it out if you’re ever in the area.

Museum is a self guided walk through building with a lot of artifacts, displays, videos, and interactive features. Very well put together to tell the story of POWs with first hand accounts of POWs and their families. It is wheelchair and stroller accessible, and there are benches throughout to sit and take in the displays and watch the videos.Restrooms are available. There is a gift shop with books, magnets, postcards, pins, t-shirts, and the usual memorabilia.

A sobering and emotional heart-wrenching display of human cruelty toward POWs of past wars. Former Senator and POW, John McCain, was mentioned a number of times. The fact that former President Trump called John McCain a "loser" because he was a POW greatly diminishes all of the souls that are mentioned in this museum. SAD.

Very nice museum. Covers the history of POW's throughout all of the US wars. All of the water features were turned off the day we visited.

This is my second trip here. It’s one of the most memorable places Togo. To see the soldiers at rest there, the history the museum teaches. It’s a must see on your trip through.

such a great site to see, and the little drummer museum has mannequins wearing actual clothes from 150 years ago and they were preserved, just wow.

Must visit. Out of the way, miles from turnpike but unforgetable. Very nice museum, gift shop, excellent exhibits and clean bathrooms. Bring your camera.

The museum paid tribute to all fractions of different wars. Great information, fils and displays.

We have been a couple of times. It's such an incredible but sad museum. Highly recommend taking the time to read everything and be humbled by what we as humans have endured. Bless America, and we shall never forget those that served and continue to serve. The grounds are beautiful and can take a little bit of time to walk, so come with plenty of time to walk around or drive around as both can be done with parking throughout some of the drive to get down and read.
Andy — Google review
This museum is phenomenal. There is a 28 minute movie with POWs from wars of different eras. There is an extensive display of photos, videos, actual letters, etc. to review. This is a not miss museum and you could spend a couple of hours. There is no charge, but I do recommend a donation. The staff, especially Ann and her husband from Texas, are knowledgeable and friendly.
Denise F — Google review
Pleasantly surprised at how well the museum was done and the grounds upkeep. The short film was worth it although it is quite depressing. The only negative was that some of the exhibits were too dark to see. I understand that it was meant to create a mood, but it was a little frustrating not to be able to read things. All in all, very impressed

With the location at the Andersonville POW camp, this is a solemn place. The museum is well put together and provides amazing insight into the trials of Americans that have been POWs throughout the history of our country. Add it to your itinerary if anywhere close.
J L — Google review
It’s just really hard for me to wrap my head around all this but Sarah who works there, really helped to give us information. We watched the 27 minute movie in the theater and how I withheld my tears, I don’t know, it is so powerful and so sad. Here in AMERICA! Some say it will happen again.I WOULD RECOMMEND
Cindy L — Google review
Something everyone should see. What the minute Anderson lived through and died in is a true tale of suffering for the freedom of others. If your soldier this should be required, and if you have a kid who wants to go into the military they need to see this as well to understand the seriousness of what they are about to undertake

You need to see this place and how the P.O.W flag and honors started because of this place. You've never been touched like you will here. Someone said 45 minutes tops in here. We spent 4 hours there, and I could have stayed longer.

Fabulous museum and exhibits. Well worth the visit. Utilize the National Park Service (NPS) websites to access the free audio tours - definitely worth it. It can be very hot and sunny, so you can tour the outdoor exhibits, such as the prison, in the morning before the museum opens. It doesn't take long to tour the entire place, so you can stretch it out and see everything or just kinda cruise the majority of the grounds (stockade, national cemetery, etc.) from the comfort of your car. It's about a half hour drive from I-75, which means you can pick a local restaurant in one of the small towns you'll drive through and give them some business while helping yourself to something new and off the beaten path. Definitely stop and show respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made on this country's behalf.

Visiting the National Prisoner of War Museum was a truly unforgettable experience. Nestled within the serene grounds of the Andersonville National Historic Site, this museum offers a poignant and educational journey through the experiences of American prisoners of war throughout history. The museum's exhibits are meticulously curated, providing a comprehensive look at the hardships and sacrifices endured by POWs, from the American Revolution to the present day. Walking through the galleries, I was deeply moved by the personal stories, artifacts, and interactive displays that shed light on the resilience and courage of these individuals. One of the highlights of my visit was the solemnity of the National Prisoner of War Memorial, a striking tribute to the thousands of American servicemen and women who have been held captive during times of conflict. The serene surroundings and reflective atmosphere made for a truly moving experience.Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the National Prisoner of War Museum for anyone interested in learning more about this often-overlooked aspect of American history. It's a sobering reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and a testament to the enduring spirit of the human soul.

Fort Clinch State Park is a large Florida state park that includes the Fort Clinch, built in 1847 after the end of the Second Seminole War. The park features 1,400 acres of natural Florida wildlife and coastal land with trails to explore below the canopy.
Absolutely love camping here when we can get a spot. It doesn’t matter if you are in the river campground or the beach campground, they are both very close to the beach. Only electric and water at each campsite but the dump station is easily accessible and is not next to any RV sites.Very clean restrooms that are cleaned daily with bleach. Good ventilation so the floors dry. Campground hosts available for any issues.

This is a huge property. 😲 But the campgrounds are small.😦 Of the two, one is half the size of the other. I also feel one is more desireable than the other. The beach one seems to be a better location. The bathhouse is wonderful.Sadly camping spaces at this property are rarely available. Yet there will always be empty ones 🤷🏻♂️System does not work efficiently and no one at the state level seems to do anything about it 🤬There are miles of hiking and biking trails. Just biking on the main road in and out is wonderful. It is completely shaded and winding through the woods 😎

Very easy access and an informative self guided tour. The grounds are immaculately taken care of. The gift shop has a well stocked selection of very affordable items. This is a must visit location when visiting Amelia Island.

This place is beautiful. I enjoyed the tranquility, the nature trails (Willow Pond Nature Trail) the grounds, and the views of the fort. The beach stroll was equally delightful. The highlight for me was the stunning wildlife. For the first time in my life, I saw white-tailed deer grazing and enjoying life. I’m happy they have a safe space here. I also saw a big, cute turtle. The beach wasn’t crowded, so I was able to relax, take in the sights, and listen to the water crashing against the rocks. The drive up to the parking lot is amazing too, with a tree canopy covering the entire road.
Forevertruth1206 — Google review
This park is gorgeous! From towering dunes to ancient oak trees to a historical fort, it is an incredibly diverse location with rich natural resources and broad appeal. As a birder, I was excited to have a variety of preserved habitats. The marshy overlook had great shorebirds and the extensive hardwood canopy was a sure bet for warblers and other passerines. The shoreline was great for seabirds, shorebirds and sharks’ teeth. There is a narrow multi-use path for bicyclists and pedestrians that runs through the park. During our visit, we only used small stretches of the path to access some of the views, but it looked amazing. The only negative is that this place gets packed, and during peak times, closes to new visitors to limit capacity. There seems to be a lot of zippy traffic on the road and I could never figure out why people are in such a hurry when there is so much beauty even on the main road. If you’re in the area and are a nature lover, this should definitely be on your list!

Sublime and relaxing. Canopy of trees with Spanish Moss and Palmetto everywhere. Facilities include bright and clean bathrooms with shower stalls, washers and dryers ($2 per load) The fort is a major draw and the river has sandy beach along its shoreline. Plenty of hiking trails. A bike is a good have as the place is huge.

Clean restrooms! No driving on the beach not a worry to me. Outdoor showers to rinse off. Plenty of ocean life, seashells and sharks teeth. Places to camp both tent and camper. Trails to walk on! The fort itself is pretty darn cool and great photo spots.6.00 dollars to get in not too bad....worth it to me for clean restrooms! There is a ramp to get on beach but not much after the ramp if there is a wheelchair friend.

Such an amazing piece of history. Well maintained lots of little facts located around the fort great for self exploration. Wonderful walking trails outside the fort and around the beach area. The beach is usually quite and peaceful a great place to find sharks teeth just walking along the shore. The family and I look forward to returning for the history and beach-time fun.

Beautiful Fort. Like walking into a movie set or a novel that has come alive. By that I mean it was set up like the forts in books I have read but have never seen except in my mind. This is not just a single rectangular brick building it’s an entire community inside the walls. The museum has set the rooms up with home goods, and other items in the Quarter Masters Warehouse or store to give a view into living there. The fort was so fascinating with all of the tunnels and stairwells between the inner and outer walls one could imagine protecting it. Say hello to the lone soldier, in full uniform, guarding the fort itself. Tip: bring your water bottle out with you so you can linger longer and look past the cannons to the view of the ocean beyond. The museum itself also has interesting information and artifacts.

My husband and I, always eager for a daytime adventure, found ourselves drawn to Fort Clinch State Park during our stay in Amelia Island. We had driven past it a few times and curiosity got the better of us - a decision we’re now incredibly grateful for. The park not only offered excellent campgrounds but also revealed itself to be a historic gem.Upon entering, we were immediately struck by how well-preserved the fort is. It’s like stepping into a different era. The museum-like demonstrations are exceptionally well done. We explored the sleeping quarters, kitchens, latrines, jailhouse, storage areas, and even a store and steelworks. Also several real life artillery and cannons were on display. Each section was an insightful glimpse into the past, making it easy to imagine life during those times. The attention to detail in these demonstrations was remarkable, offering a vivid and educational experience. The most captivating aspect of Fort Clinch is how it immerses you in history. It’s not just about seeing; it’s about feeling the past around you. We spent hours wandering through the grounds, absorbing every detail, and left with a newfound appreciation for the history of the area. Our visit to Fort Clinch has inspired us to plan a camping trip there on our next visit to Amelia Island. The thought of spending a night under the stars, surrounded by such rich history, is thrilling. We highly recommend Fort Clinch to anyone visiting Amelia Island, whether you’re a history buff, nature lover, or just looking for a unique way to spend your day. It’s a must-visit destination that offers a perfect blend of education, nature, and adventure.

I'm not a history buff, but for $2.50/person to enter the fort I figured I'd check it out. I thought it was really neat just to walk around looking at a 150 year old fort, it's a peak into the way others lived long ago and how times sure have changed. It's nearly completely open to walk around wherever you'd like, there's only a few locked doors in the buildings, so it was fun to see what was inside all of the different buildings. I recommend checking it out if you're already going for the beach. Tickets to enter the fort can be purchased in the visitors center, which also has a gift shop inside.I also went to the beach, there's plenty of parking in the lot. I went specifically to find a sharks tooth, and unfortunately could not find one. I did talk to another person which had found several small ones they showed me.

We had a wonderful time viewing thefort, we really enjoyed the state park, and the soldiers there had a full working knowledge of what life would’ve been like. They answered all of our questions. When Guests are in the area visiting with us. We will be taking them up to the fort so they can see it.

I love this place so much. The wooded, moss-covered drive to the fort is breathtaking, and the fort itself is absolutely gorgeous and so well-kept! The history is fascinating, and the views are amazing. Kids and adults alike will enjoy Fort Clinch!

Very beautiful park with different reenactments of key eras in Fl history. Very educational to see the memorabilia, the fort. The views of the beach are beautiful! Park featuring a 6-mi. river with summer tubing through wetlands, wildlife sightings & snorkeling.
Top notch springs. Clean, clear, comfortable temperature water. There's an abundance of various fish in the springs - nothing scary. The underwater views are stunning. There's more to the park than just the springs and river. The trails are nice and so is the picnic/BBQ area.

We had the whole spring head to ourselves on this gorgeous morning. The pictures are of that location! There are two locations in the same area, do the little hike, it was so worth it. The steps leading into the spring were tricky to navigate, a large step down with no rails was very uncomfortable. The other spot had a lot of rocks in the water, that were tricky to get around. They made for great seating in the spring though. This area was the most popular! Great picnic area!!

Nice springs, crystal clear water. We went there on a Sunday afternoon. It was packed. The bottom of the spring (the one for people to swim) is full of rocks and it is very slippery. Be careful if you bring little ones. Our 3 year old son loved playing on the stairs, didn’t get into the water much.

Absolutely beautiful place to paddle! We saw manatees, lots of fish, turtles, a baby alligator, and heard the river otters were out abd about though we never saw them.Shuttle service was very friendly , however, this is what gives this place their 4 star rating. Their shuttle service timing needs some work. I believe they are used to catering to tubers, not so much paddlers. The young staff helping launch and return need to be better informed on the actual services. I asked them some questions about the pick up service (the kid nice and friendly enough) but could not answer the simple question s about tram vs shuttle services. Other than this minor hiccup....the location was amazing to experience. We were lucky enough to paddle on a day without tubers and it was extremely peaceful.Great restrooms, picnic tables, lots of parking at the south entrance and large gift shop with confessions. Has an ice-cream stand also on the outside. Some tables with umbrellas too.

Ichetucknee Springs is an incredible natural gem in Florida. The crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings make it perfect for tubing, kayaking, and snorkeling. The wildlife and serene environment provide a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The park is well-maintained, with excellent facilities and friendly staff. The hiking trails offer beautiful views, and the picnic areas are ideal for a family day out. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, Ichetucknee Springs delivers an unforgettable experience. It's a must-visit destination for nature lovers.

We visited both the North and South Entrances. You cannot get to the amenities between through the park.South Entrance is for those who want to rent kayaks, tube's, canoes, and enjoy the river. There is quite a lot of parking, but once full they do not allow additional patrons. There is a general store with bathrooms, ice cream, burgers, and quick grab snacks (chips, sofa, candy). There are also souvenirs and useful items for a day in the sun/nature. It is 5 miles to enter the water with your rental, so they do offer trams. We visited on a rainy day, and did not use the water.North entrance has a couple of springs for swimming and cave diving for certified divers. It also has a number of hiking trails. We took the shortest. As we were just passing through. It is a 30 minute (aboit) round trip. .4 miles and .4 miles back. Less parking, but still a good amount. There is a self launch for kayaks at this entrance. There is also a small children's playground, picnic tables and restrooms. The entrances are about a 3 mile drive apart.

If you’re going for anything other than tubing and picnicking, choose another park. Ichetucknee has beautiful water for tubing (but not swimming). The trails leading up to the water are short. The stairs to the river’s edge are very walkable and well-maintained. The gift shop is typically overpriced and not worthwhile. However, if you want an actual trail, this is a poor choice. None of the trails loop, paths are narrow, and staff and visitors alike stare if you’re just wanting to walk in nature instead of go tubing. The trails are only for getting to the river, not any other purpose. Likewise, there’s no swimming at the south end, so you have to tube if you want to enjoy the water.

This is the best springs combo out of all of the ones in the fort white/high springs area in my opinion. The best thing is that it’s not overcrowded and crazy like Ginnie. Definitely family friendly. The Blue Hole Spring (it’s a 10-15 minute walk down the boardwalk through the woods) was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. You have to be a strong swimmer to get a good look at it underwater. Shout out to the park ranger that was standing at the top of Ichetucknee spring on Saturday 8/24 around 5pm and told us how to get to blue hole, as well as a bunch of interesting facts. He was so nice.

I recently kayaked here and walked around on the trails. The rental kayak pricing was reasonable. I paddled upstream and then turned around and floated back. The current is quick in a couple spots. Saw a bunch of wildlife along the way, including a manatee. The tubing looked fun too. I'd recommend a visit if you are considering and are in North Central Florida.

Bring swim googles and/or snorkeling gear! Unexpected and inexpensive state park being gem to visit. A cold dip in the spring is what you need on a hot day. You’ll need to be a good swimmer or have a life jacket as depths vary in big pool most is about 2’-5’ deep then drop to approximately 15’-20’. The Blue Hole is a whole new adventure from 4’-90’ deep. Yes, approximately 90’! The south end of Ichetucknee is for tubing, paddle boarding or canoeing. You could make a two day trip to experience everything the park had to offer.
Mike E — Google review
Very beautiful. 3 mile kayak adventure into the springs. Saw 2 gators just floating along and several manatees. Beautiful day. Loved that at the end, there was a shuttle to pick you up and take you back to the main entrance

It's one of the most beautiful serene places I have ever been. The water is absolutely clear. You can see mullet, turtles, alligator gar, swimming under you as you pass by. The water stays a cool 72 degrees all year. Last time I went we saw a family of manatees swim right under our kayak. It was majestic. I recommend kayaking or tubing here to anyone regardless of age or skills. They even have a trolly bring you back to your vehicle when you're all finished. I can't wait to go back and show off the Ichetucknee to all my friends and family.

Parking at the north lot is limited if you just want to swim get there early. Parking at the south lot was fine. Just get there before 10am. There are nice bathrooms and food and you can rent or just catch the shuttle there for kayaking or tubing. And there are picnic areas in the rear of the lot. The only thing missing from the south parking area is the swimming area. The itchi river is a beautiful narrow easy flowing under 2 hours ride in cool water mostly shaded and lots of turtles fish birds and manatees.

What a great state park! We headed in the offseason. I'm glad we did. We had seen some videos on YouTube where it is an absolute Zoo during the summer. If you want some exercise start at the bottom at the Darien drop in. Paddle up stream from there about one and a half miles. And you can have a nice leisurely drift back down. The water is so clear so manatees otters and alligator gar.

This park is nice. Lots of things to see and do. The north end has such a small amount of parking we saw lines Saturday and Sunday all the way out the entrance. Nice little hikes on the trails they have. Wide and easy to walk with minimal hills. The south end tubing was super fun. Not as crowded as I thought it would be and we arrived after 11 am. I would recommend tubing here 100% unless your do not like fun people on a cool river with great views. Just do it! Go buy a decent river tube and pay for the tram ride. So worth it. Now go have fun and get outside.

This is a beautiful park! They have some great ground rules to keep the Springs from being overwhelmed, so it is best to go early to avoid being denied entry once the visitor limit has been reached. We rented a kayak, reserved it earlier. Doing your waivers online saves time. The river is beautiful and clear with abundant wildlife. There is part of the river that is only open to kayaks, canoes and paddle boards and only 100 a day. The crystal clear water, which is cool and refreshing is entrancing. With a trained eye you can see a variety of fish and turtles under water even without any sort of snorkeling mask.Park personnel are friendly and generally efficient. This is a great park to picnic as well, a wonderful family place. When you meet the tubing section, it is quite crowded, but still really lovely.

Love this place! I walked the Midpoint trail and it's 1.5 miles to the ramp for tubing! If you are tubing you might want to consider the tram! On a hot day that is a long hike with your tube JS! Tubing is so much fun here so you must come and enjoy it! All ages! Very safe and lots of fun and relaxation!

We arrived about 9am on Thursday, there wasn't a lot of people there. We were standing at the tram around 945, it took about 30 minutes for the tram to arrive and load. The float was awesome, we saw turtles and varios birds. One person said that he saw a small alligator, but I didn't. It was about 1.5 hours to float to the takeout, a short walk to the tram, we were only there a few minutes and we're picked up and loaded heading back to the parking area. We had a great time.

We love both of the head springs and the river float options at this park. Tram price and rentals add up for a larger family, but you can bring your own tubes and walk to the launch area if you choose. Facilities are well maintained and staff is friendly. The food truck is decent. There are always lots of pond turtles, many birds, occasional water snakes, and a gator from time to time. There’s a lot of poison oak near the seating area of the head spring though, so beware!

The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is a place where rescued exotic cats, such as tigers, lions, and pumas live in a beautiful and sustainable environment. The ranch can be visited with guided tours day or night, during which visitors learn about the animals and their natural habitats.
Okay so the first thing you should know is that the park is smack dab in the middle of a low-key cute residential area which totally threw us off. When we pulled up we were expecting a backyard zoo because of the location, but man were we were wrong. They said they have 200 acres or developing, right now I'd say it's probably more like 8 acres that they actually have built up. You can tell that they are trying their best to give the tigers a nice life with waterfalls, swimming pools, toys, cabins. There's a lot more than just tigers here, they've got a very cute black bear, a black leopard, and some other small cats. Including their resident kitty cat that roams fearlessly. We went for the feeding experience and it was absolutely worth it. We got so many amazing pictures, and got to see so many beautiful big cats. This is an absolutely excellent place to come with the whole family regardless of age. Don't forget to buy some T-shirts at the gift shop, or a stuffed animal for the kids because that small places like this, every dollar counts towards keeping it running. We're excited to come back in a couple of years and see all of the progress that they have made. (We live very far away)

I had a wonderful experience visiting Catty Shack Ranch. The animals, especially the tigers, lions, and bears, were beautiful and looked well-fed and healthy. It was amazing to see them so active, especially during the feeding activity, which really brought them to life. Although the place is small, it’s run by donations and dedicated volunteers who were incredibly helpful and welcoming. It’s a great cause, and I highly recommend visiting and supporting their efforts to care for these magnificent animals. A truly unique and memorable experience!

Catty shack was BEYOND AMAZING!!!! Not as huge as a zoo but well thought out and a lot of information that definitely makes it worth while! Very clean and well kept! Staff are very knowledgeable, and definitely love their job!!!! Best time to go is when it’s feeding time because let me tell ya hearing a lion eat is amazing! So majestic wouldn’t want to be the food but just amazing to see them! Highly recommend you stopping by and checking them out! Huge thank you to the staff that made me kids day!!!!

We went for their night time feeding. We purchased the package that came with a shirt of your choice and a drink.I was pleased to see they had sugar free options for the snowcones. The tour starts off self guided, and I would highly recommend using the complimentary bug spray they have. The paths are dirt, so wear shoes you feel comfortable getting a little dirty in.There is a spot before you go back where the animals are to use the restroom which is a trailer style, or sit and eat or drink from the concession stand they have. They also have some chickens and cats that roam around. All of the enclosures look to be well kept, and you can see that they are replacing or adding new pieces to them. All of the animals have their name and a little history of where they came from on plaques. The volunteers are very friendly and interact with the animals. The evening was quite educational and fun to hear some of the big cats voice their opinions about sharing their dinner with us.The Catty Shack is not state funded, nor do I believe city funded, so they need all the donations/visitors they can in order to keep taking care of these wonder animals.I would highly suggest going for the night feeding tour.

I brought my family from out of state and we all had the best time. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly and love to help and answer questions. The cats are so well cared for, that you can see for yourself they are happy and content. They don't just hide and sleep like at the zoos. We will come back for sure.

I love this place! It’s very well maintained and the atmosphere is amazing. My 10 year old even said it was better than the zoo!
Sami K — Google review
Absolutely adored this experience! It was only $15 to walk around (not watch feedings), and it was worth every penny. The cats are beautiful and there are many more than we were expecting! They have bug spray available on the tables as well, which was very nice (and much needed).Only caveat: wear shoes that can get muddy!!!!!
Sarah H — Google review
Nice but muddy. Take proper shoes due to wet mud while walking from cage to cage. 30 mins or so are enough to cover everything. Volunteers were very nice and walked with us to every cage explaining everything!

Recently visited The Catty Shack Ranch and had a great time with my family! All the animals are well taken care of and look very healthy. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visitingagain in the future.

We love catty shack! Especially the night feedings. Our favorite is Spiderman because he is so vocal but love them all. We had a blast walking through. The animals are social and not like a zoo where they seem timid.
Jennifer B — Google review
First time here and loved it! The staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. They have ongoing construction as they are expanding. Also plan to build sticks and bricks to replace some structures that are trailers. Lots of kids. Reasonable price and worth the experience!

This was an awesome experience! It's better than a zoo. They have beautiful cats,a bear, foxes.,many more..a must visit! Well taken care of animals and beautiful property. The show, feeding the animals was amazing to watch..The caretakers, and owners were nice, friendly and very hands on. If you get a chance,visit...great place..and donate to them..they take very good care of the animals, some were abandoned, displaced..

We went for the evening feeding which, if you're into Big Cats (or not) is a great experience. All of the animals look to be very well cared for: shiny coats, energetic, and with nicely maintained enclosures. The real treat, though, is watching them come alive as they realize their feeding time approaches. They go from typical zoo lazy to running, jumping, playing, and growling. The volunteer staff are all nice and knowledgeable and clearly care about these beautiful creatures. I highly recommend the evening feeding!

It's a really cool place! A non profit big cat sanctuary that is a must go if you're in the Jacksonville area. They do great work for these endangered animals and the kids will love it too!
Ben K — Google review
I really don't know why some people have given this sanctuary such low stars, this is a sanctuary not a zoo it isnt for entertainment! And do you think the places they got these animals from where better ...well that's a NO and we should be helpful that these animals have found a forever home :)The habitats are clean and well kept they are even adding waterfalls/pools to them !The staff/volunteers were so friendly and so informative !Please check out their Amazon wish list to help with items they need. They are a 501c and dont reveive government help !
Leslie Z — Google review
These cats were well taken care of and they had a relationship with the volunteers they were interacting with. You could hear them chuffing & vocalizing with staff & they got excited when they saw them coming. It was educational and they were building even larger enclosures when we visited. The kids loved it! (Except when the lynx tried to back that thang up to spray my teenaged son for taking pictures too close...which made him drop his phone over the restricted fence line 🤣🤣🤣)

Miss Wendy was courteous, professional, and kind to my daughter and my grandchildren visiting from New York City. She was very well-versed and personally telling us the names, births and habits of the animals within the compound. I would definitely return when my other family members come to Jax, to visit.

Go on a cooler day and more animals will be out.We had a great time seeing some exotic animals and walking around the grounds. The people working are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions.Complimentary bug spray and sunscreen at the front.Info on adopting or sponsoring an animal also at the front.

I have lived in Nassau County and Duval County my entire life and have failed to make it here until yesterday. It was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be back. We did the enrichment tour which was really fun as the cats got really excited about the boxes of chicken and were super active. The volunteers were really amazing and told us all about the cats and their personalities/ why the cats are at catty shack. It was a great time.
Sam B — Google review
Such a fun place to visit! Highly recommend coming for the night feedings. Not only were the animals more active but you also get to speak with volunteers/employees and learn so much more than usual. The shack also has 3 cute house kitties running around that are so sweet too - definitely pet if you see them! Very cool preserve and will be coming back to support in the future.

Zoos & Aquariums
The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is a popular tourist attraction that showcases a variety of wildlife from around the world. The zoo features an impressive walking safari where visitors can view over 2,000 animals from across Africa and the Americas. There are also several gardens to explore, including a beautiful savanna blooms garden which celebrates the vibrant flowers found in Africa. The zoo is located on the banks of Trout River, just outside of Jacksonville, Florida.
1000/10! The tickets that you purchase automatically include animal feedings which is incredible. Every single staff member we came into contact with was kind and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. I absolutely love how when they designed this zoo they did so around the natural wildlife/world not the other way around. The animals were very well taken care of and also seemed to enjoy their habitats. They also did a great job of communicating if there was an animal not currently out for viewing why that was and when to expect them back. Great zoo!

Great zoo! We brought our 4 year old and she had a blast. We saw the whole zoo, and all walkable (We actually took the train to the end and walked back). Getting to feed the giraffe was a huge hit! Do not miss!
Michael S — Google review
Colors of the wild was amazing. Way better than the normal zoo lights. Great for any age. The zoo signed a 3 year contract so its coming back the next 2 years. Its a separate ticket from the regular zoo ticket but worth it.

Came to visit family for a couple days, looked for something local to do and Jacksonville Zoo was a suggestion. Great zoo, nice exhibits, animals look well cared for. Staff is very helpful and friendly. AJ the giraffe was our favorite and we got to feed him. Price point is fair, plenty to see for your big and little kids.
Nina T — Google review
My zoo experience was great. The parking was free. It was really cool to see the giraffe so close! Some people were able to feed the giraffe. The zoo has a splash pad and other kid activities. You can pet the sting rays. Some areas are air conditioned which is fantastic especially in the Florida heat. We ended up getting our tickets online prior to our arrival.

4.5 stars. Lots of exhibits currently under renovation, and they are currently building a manatee rescue center. A good variety of animals. Lots of walking. Plan to stay at least 3-4 hours to see most of the park. We loved the train that constantly circles the park. If you need to buy water, know it’s about 5$ a bottle, but there are fountains to fill your own near the bathrooms. Was most impressed by the plants and landscaping, it’s like the whole park is inside a garden; during late July everything was blooming and very beautiful. They encourage you to buy tickets online before you even enter the park and this does make entry nearly seamless if you can have your bar code ready on your phone.

There’s so many great things to say about Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. This is a wonderful place that the entire family will love, it’s also great for dates or some alone time. All of the exhibits are easily accessible for all. With restaurants and refreshment stands throughout the park, you could easily spend the entire day enjoying the zoo. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It’s best to purchase your tickets in advance, and you have 60 days to use the tickets after your purchase day.
Britney H — Google review
Such a beautiful zoo! So much more than just the animals (which are amazing too). Take your time not only to check out all the animals but to enjoy the gardens. It's a nit of a walk to the tiger area but so worth it! If you get tired you can always sit on one of the many benches around the zoo.

Such a beautiful place to explore! So many different animals, all of who look happy and healthy. Can easily spend the entire day browsing around! Highly recommend the all inclusive tickets - save time and purchase online!

I have to say this was a nice surprise. We decided to try to get in as soon as the park opened, this was a good thing since it was nice and cool out we got to see the cats during their feeding time so they were out and about. I definitely recommend going early. Such a beautiful layout and they’ve done a really nice job with this Zoo!!

I chaperoned a trip to the zoo Summer ‘24. There was a bit of confusion in the beginning as I didn’t know you needed to pre-purchase entry tickets. It was a pleasant day with some rain. Most of the animals were out for viewing and the zoo guides were friendly and resourceful. They have a playground area for kids and plenty of benches to sit if you need a break from all the walking. The gift shop had a variety of items to purchase that weren’t too expensive. Overall, it was a nice experience. They seem to be stewarding the animals well ☀️

Nice zoo. Visited it on my way to Miami mostly because of the great giraffe overlook they have and wasn't disappointed. The "Colors of the Wild" exhibit is great, plants and animal figures are installed all over the Zoo and they look amazing! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to enjoy them in the dark, it must be spectacular.
Eugene P — Google review
The zoo is very clean and tidy. The train goes all the way to the back for a stop and then back to the entrance. We recommend starting with the land of the tiger and then slowly walking forward. There are many paths leading off from the main path to the attractions/animals. There are drink and food stands everywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The 4D cinema was interesting and the images of the animals were amazing.
Stephan K — Google review
This was such a nice zoo! All the animal enclosures were well maintained and all of the animals looked to be very healthy and happy. It's a smaller zoo than I would have imagined but it's still a good place to spend time at. I think we were there for about 4hrs.From what I was told you have to buy tickets online in advance. Unless you are buying discounted tickets for say military then you would buy them at the customer relations counter.Overall it was a great experience.
Richelle B — Google review
A wonderful zoo. It has a large and interesting layout based on different parts of the world. Even in the heat the animals were taken well care of and seemed sleepy but happy. A great range of different mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. They have different fun building and exhibits that you can take a break in for air conditioning. There are also water bottle refill stations near every bathroom which was nice. Would definitely recommend starting your day closer to when the zoo opens.
Chris H — Google review
This Zoo is huge. The train ride was beautiful and so much fun! Also very informative. There are 2 places to get on and off. Me and my family spent almost 6 hours here, that was getting to see everything and eat. So it will make a day full. You can get closer to the animals than any zoo I have been too. It was really neat. I would say order your tickets online! I'm so glad we did. Also get the Total Experience! It is so worth it!

Jacksonville Zoo Color of the Wild was amazing!!! A must see for all ages. As you walk the zoo grounds, you will encounter the most incredible lantern displays. From veggies, to butterfly, to safari animal to under the sea, to enchanting Japanese dragons. INCREDIBLE!!!! Probably took about an hour forty five to walk. Wheel chair stroller accessible. Children area to explore and food and shopping. Starbucks at entry. Clean bathrooms throughout. Plenty of parking and attendants kept great flow bringing guest in and out. You can purchase ticket in advance on line. Check weather and dress accordingly.

We love our zoo! I have grown up with the Jacksonville Zoo and have probably visited 100 times at least. As an adult with a family of my own I’ve had a zoo membership for many years. My family loves visiting, and we always see new things! The exhibits are ever changing, the gardens/plant life are gorgeous, and there’s so much to do. My kids love the kid area with mazes, a petting zoo, splash park, and playground. We also love to visit during the year round special events that the zoo hosts. The only thing I wish was different was the ability to pay for different things like Stingray Bay, train, feeding giraffes, carousel, etc. We don’t always want to pay for the total experience. We miss the days of paying a few dollars for each, but we understand that the zoo is also a business working to pay for conservation efforts. If you visit Jacksonville or NE Florida our zoo is worth stopping at. You could easily spend the day exploring there, and I promise your kids will love it!

Awesome experience! Plan for 3 hours to cover everything. Very good layout, easy to navigate. Get tickets a day prior to save $5 per ticket. Bring your own food and water! Wheelchair friendly🤩

Absolutely in love with the Jacksonville zoo! I was very impressed how the zoo was set up and the many exhibits that were there. Most all the animals were out and playing. I arrived at 9am on a Saturday (perfect weather kind of day) and I didn’t feel over crowded at the exhibits. Due to being military, we waiting in line for tickets, but the line to get in was not bad! They did offer extras to do but we didn’t stay long enough. It was a great “leg stretcher” after being in the car for a long road trip. We left by 11:15 and the parking lot was definitely full. I did love the vendors in the zoo! One of the vendors took phenomenal pictures of animals and sells them! They are affordable and great quality too! I really recommend this zoo and if we are back in the area, we are definitely going back !! The jaguars were definitely our favorite as well as the penguins!

What a delightful surprise for a first timer! Museum and botanical garden combo definitely was the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Jacksonville for the week!!!The museum art was impressive and unique! Most of the art was captivating and displayed with taste! The grounds were beautifully kept and each gallery room was one surprise after another! Truly enjoyed that aspect of the museum experience! The botanical gardens were my absolute favorite!!! Exquisitely kept and photo perfect! Their luscious gardens were a dream to walk through and offered a magical experience. It truly was a wonderland to discover all the areas. The map provided helped navigate it but it’s a paradise to get lost in it!Definitely a must visit when you’re in the area! Highly recommend it for a solo visit or with family!

It's one of my favorite places to walk around and admire the art. If I could sit in the garden for hours, I would. It’s gorgeous. The different exhibits are always so fun to go and see. My favorite was the women’s sports uniforms throughout the years. As someone who works for a sporting company, I loved seeing the styles leading up to the present.

Great museum. We stopped by during our quick visit to Jacksonville before we headed back home to Tampa. We loved the garden area the most even though it was super hot like it always is in Florida during summer 😂. Nonetheless a great time for all ages and art enthusiasts alike.

So the first time I had been here was a real treat. Honestly, it was a really peaceful experience for me and a great pace to just unwind and walk. I recommend going to the garden section during cooler temperatures like in the fall.I went with a few friends and it's one of our more memorable experiences as we took everything in. I even think I got a great picture of my friend taking a picture here lol!

I LOVE the garden. There are new blooms monthly and plenty of seating to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Tuesdays they are open later and the garden has lighting throughout the walk ways. I definitely recommend seeing it during dusk and night time hours Beautiful view of the river. The museum always has great new exhibits every few months. The permanent collection is lovely. Even though I’ve seen it several times I still notice new things about the pieces.Plenty of restrooms. There is a cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. I have not tried the cafe yet but menu looks great. There is an artist that will perform music and/or singing in the cafe and you can still hear them quietly throughout the art rooms. Plenty of free parking. Don’t forget to walk around the outside of the building. To the right there is more parking with painted murals and access to the river. To the left where the large red double rings are there are a few bronze statues along the walkway next the the cafes outdoor seating

A nice little art museum in riverside. Free parking across the street. Lots of discounts for entry including for military and educators. Highlights are the gardens, river view, and some beautiful pieces from both known and not-so- known artists. Cute little cafe with excellent Chai latte. Air conditioned - a relief from the heat! Places to sit throughout. Spend a couple of hours and enjoy!

I enjoyed my time at the Cummer museum, I was not expecting tickets to be pricey but I’m glad they’ve a discount for educators.I thought the garden was much bigger from the pictures but it isn’t, it’s still pretty but it is lacking more flowers. The fountains were cute, sitting limited but I loved laying on the grass and admiring the trees. Quite a peaceful area.I was impressed that the museum was so diverse and was even able to see an artwork from an artist that’s from my home country.

This museum was clean, the art was beautiful and it was multicultural so seeing how different artists use different methods of creating art for different periods of time was definitely an amazing learning experience. There was some beautiful scenery outside and in the back that would have been breathtaking but due to the floods they were working on cleaning it back up, I would have loved to experience that as well! Will be returning👍🏿

Great museum to visit. A nice variety of art - from contemporary to modern to pieces from the 1500s. The gardens were great because the flowers were out. Horrible if you have allergies (yes, I have allergies). Three different gardens to walk through which made a good way to end the visit. For us, the featured installation was women's fashion in sports through out history. Very interesting! Give it a try.

Students get in free, I believe and they have other discounts and free museum days all the time. The art is incredible, the facilities are clean and easy to navigate, and the gardens are beautiful. I always start from the section down the hall near the gift shop and bathrooms first and make my way down so I don't miss anything.I've never actually eaten at the Cafe but it always smells so good. I've loved this place since I was a child and we used to take the kids but haven't been in years. My daughter has been asking to go, so we did. The galleries have changed a bit, and the garden is bigger! 🤩 I absolutely love the porcelain gallery, I think it's my favorite display. This place is awesome! The butterfly garden is the best part. They have a discovery room for young children as well that has all sorts of neat things. The best part is the main museum is free. If you want to see the butterfly garden or the current extra exhibit there is a charge but it's totally worth it. 😀 Check their website, they have discounts on tickets for certain things.

I took my wife here and it was awesome. There are so many different types of butterflies and finches as well. If you're a person that likes butterflies here's the place to go. They would land on you and fly all around you. Plus Free parking on the weekends.

Amazing exhibit! I could have stayed there all day. You go at your own pace along a path and you're surrounded by beautiful butterflies, flowers, and plants. There's even a small waterfall and a bench to rest or take photos. The butterflies sometimes land on you (one landed on my kid's face!). And when we went, there were also a few birds. The place is one big photo op for some awesome and memorable photos. A++

100% worth the drive and the admission. Great for recharging and relaxation. Between the sounds of the waterfalls and the birds and the multitudes of butterfly species it was a sensory overload. Combine this attraction with the natural history museum and the art museum next door (both free admission) and you've got your morning or afternoon fully covered.

We had an amazing experience here at the butterfly garden! Seriously can't say enough good. We got a couple dollar discount on admission because of being FL residents. The indoor portion was very informative and educational. Also very well laid out and organized. The outdoor area, actual rainforest garden, was beautiful! Water fountains, birds, butterflies and beautiful plants. We enjoyed walking and taking it all in. Can easily spend a couple hours here. We enjoyed being able to observe all the nature up close in a safe weather proof environment. The Florida museum is right next door. We did not visit that today, but it was quite large and looked to be a full day.Parking was $4 and in a lot right next to museum. Restrooms available and a nice fair prices gift shop and penny machine at entrance.

Great place for my little to visit make sure you stay for the daily butterfly release and walk through the other exhibits while you are there. So much fun!Parking is paid separate than admission they only take card for parking.

The Butterfly Rainforest at the Florida Museum is remarkable. They have an unbelievable collection of butterflies and small birds in a beautiful ecosystem. It’s possible to get within inches of these guys for photos. The environment is also lovely, so peaceful that we could spend hours.

Very neat experience the butterflies, quail and finches were all very fun to see. Large showing Koi in the creek and beautiful fauna! The museum was equally impressive!

Definitely worth the experience. It's humid and gives the essence of a real rain forest, or a muggy day here in the Florida swamps. Numerous butterflies and lots to learn. There's an insect exhibit to check out along with lots of Florida history, including early Indian tribes.

Lovely educational experience with kind staff. What a dream. We liked going to callaway gardens in South Georgia for their butterfly experience, this is awesome as well! Quail, koi & finches roamed & butterflies 🦋 soared & perched to rest. Waterfall & a hatchery. Neat museum and great visit and affordable

Lots of butterflies! It was a bit crowded, but still manageable to get around inside with others. There are many different types of pretty butterflies and little birds that roam free or fly. This was a fun experience and they will land on you if you stand still or wear bright colors.

Butterfly Rainforest had a nice large enclosed patio area full of beautiful butterflies and Luscious Landscaping. It was also a little bigger then I thought it would be. I didn't realize it had a full Museum inside until we arrived and I saw the sign for the museum. The museum was great it had a lot of different displays and was very informative. This is a great place for young & older children alike. Heck, I'm middle-aged and love it!!..

By far the coolest attraction I visited while in Central Florida. So many butterflies, birds and even fish. Helpful and knowledgeable Staff. It was pretty busy but not overcrowded. Really enjoyed our stroll.

Absolutely a wonderful place for someone who loves butterflies. Although it was not a sunny day, we managed to see many beauties. We bought the package that also included the dinosaur museum and it is a wonderful experience.

If you like butterflies, this is the place for you! Such a great variety. Fairly busy for a Monday morning in May, but we were still able to navigate the area easily.

Beautiful! There's so much to look at here! Butterflies, birds, plants, flowers...🌷 This is a great way to 'be in nature' and still beat the heat 💪 Free parking on the weekends too.

The Florida Museum of Natural History is a large and well-maintained museum that explores both the natural and human heritage of Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America. It has many permanent displays on Florida's fauna and flora as well as an extensive butterfly rainforest.
Not too expensive, great for kids with a variety of exhibits and rotating displays. The staff were friendly and helpful during our lost-child incident. They had a very interesting display of fossils, presented in a timeline of ancient Florida. They also had a great area for young children, including those with sensitivities. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic museum with engaging displays and awesome research. We went as a group of 3 adults and learned a lot about Florida natural history including fossils, Native Americans, and Florida flora and fauna. The butterfly rainforest is an extra charge but highly recommend paying it! It not only supports conservation around these species but also the whole experience the museum provides. Some highlights are included in my pictures but the majority of exhibits have an interactive component and a good chunk are at child/wheelchair height. Some of the text can be smaller and some of the exhibits can be dimmer so if you need reading glasses or a light source, I would suggest bringing those! For 3 adults that vacillated between skimming and reading exhibit text, we managed to see everything in about 3 hours.Since we visited on a weekday we parked in the adjacent open lot advertised for the museum for $4, it covers the entire day but be aware, they do not accept cash! They also have picnic tables outside if you wanted to bring your own lunch. They do not have a café or anything inside the museum. As for the gift shop - be prepared to spend some money!

Wow this place is so cool! It's a wonderful museum dedicated to Florida's natural history and has so many interesting exhibits. My absolute favorite is the fossil exhibit. The Mastodon display is quite impressive and mostly intact. The butterfly garden is pretty spectacular too. And if you like spiders and creepy crawly things check out the Spiders Live exhibit. We had such a wonderful time here.

Hidden gem! Must visit! Florida local habitat and wildlife as well as so much science of evolution! Amazing place. Free admission except for temporary insect exhibit and permanent butterfly garden. So much to explore and learn. Truly a gem! Also stop at the bat houses 10min before sunset - pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the public parks. We will be back for more!!!! This is for families, adults, kids! Everyone!

I love this museum. I’ve learned a lot!The entrance is free, but if you wanna visit the butterfly kingdom and a spider world you need to pay for their tickets. For the first timers, I recommend touring around the museum first.

Nicole our friend that owns New World Wellness studio in Gainesville told us about a beautiful butterfly 🦋 museum next to the UF University of Florida campus, so we went in the museum 🦖of natural history and had a blast 💥 I enjoyed the hands on kids area where we put fossil’s together and then we learned about the Calusa Indians in the Florida area. It was interesting educating 📚 ourselves and sad to find out about a people a vast number of them, that we as descendants from British & Spaniards that literally ran them off their land 🌴 because we coveted it.We ended our museum trip on a good 👍 note 🗒️ though. The butterfly 🦋 garden 🪴 of paradise is the best way I can expalain it, WOW!!!Stepping into this outdoor enclosure that had lush vegetation 🌱 with blooming flowers 🌺 everywhere that made you wish you had one for your own.Between the birds 🐦 moths and different colors of flying everywhere butterflies 🦋 filling us with a memory of a peaceful ☮️ tranquility & excitement at the same time.

I enjoy visiting museums a big deal- this is one of my favorite museums in Florida. I especially enjoyed the butterfly rainforest & the spiders section. However, there is a lot to learn from this museum and it’s a good family spot and are to visit on a weekend or any day really.

Huge fan of this place! There's a butterfly rainforest and permanent exhibits. The shark jaws were very impressive and the native history displays were informative.
Jessica T — Google review
It was a bit windy and brisk so we didn’t do the butterfly rainforest as the lady at the ticket desk told us it wouldn’t be worth the ticket price as the butterflies aren’t out and active when it’s cooler outside so we just browsed the gift shop and free portions of the museum as a pit stop on our way back from Orlando. It was a nice place to explore and a good way to break up the drive.

We stopped here on a whim while on our way to vacation, and we had a wonderful experience! It was probably the highlight of our vacation. It is definitely worth the stop for anyone who is interested in prehistoric history. There are tons of skeletons of extinct animals, a kids' discovery zone, Native American artifacts, and history. It is also a great leg stretcher on those long and hot car rides. If we are ever in the area again, we will be back for another visit.

A really nice museum thoroughly depicting the history of Florida’s prehistoric past. There are a huge collection of fossils and entire skeletons of prehistoric animals from the region. There are also a great many displays on the early indigenous people of the area. A really interesting place to visit.

Really nice museum. Loved the butterfly garden. There is a huge selection of fossils and other items from different places. Also we loved how on each exhibit everything was clearly labeled, letting us know what we were looking at. A really interesting place to visit.

The museum is free, but there is a charge for the butterfly experience. They do have a discount for Florida residents. They have an *amazing* gift shop with a very good assortment of books. Their permanent displays are incredible, and even longtime residents of Florida will learn a lot.

I enjoyed looking at the different types of fossils and reading about them! It is not a huge exhibition for the dinosaurs, but it is still unique to see. There are plenty of interactive things to do with kids, and many different types of cool figures and creatures.

This museum has plenty of interactive, learning displays for children of all ages. There is a discovery room with fossils, bugs, magnifying glasses, microscopes, and more. There are wings of the museum dedicated to ancient Florida peoples, extinct mammal fossils (including mammoths, mastodons, giant sloths), and so much more. The butterfly interactive exhibit was lots of fun for kids too. We will definitely visit here again.

Great museum to spend half a day in. Plenty to see and learn about Florida’s natural history. Area for kids to interact and learn. Butterfly garden is a must add on. The temporary exhibits vary throughout the year and are usually worth the add on as well.

Me and my mom went on a Saturday, and we waited about 20 seconds to buy our tickets. The most impressive thing about the museum was the organization of everything and how updated each exhibit was! We spent about 3 hours in the museum, the butterfly exhibit is definitely worth the extra money, super beautiful and relaxing. Also we loved how on each exhibit everything was clearly labeled, letting us know what we were looking at, which we LOVED. Also at the fossil area, the table with two magnifying glasses was super cool and went maybe 20 minutes there just looking at shells and snake skin. This museum is fun for adults as well as kids and we will definitely go back

The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours by reservation only, providing an intimate experience with a group of about 25 people. The reserve houses a variety of animals rescued from unfortunate situations, all well cared for and loved by the staff. Visitors can expect clean and well-maintained enclosures and detailed information about each animal from the tour guide. While walking shoes, water, and sunscreen are recommended, a golf cart is available for those in need.
I loved this place, the attention of all the volunteers who work there was very good and the animals they have there are beautiful. The tour was very good, I highly recommend it. They don't let you take photos, just enjoy the beauty of these animals.

An absolutely amazing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The animals are so beautiful and the reserve clearly takes great care of them. 5 stars will highly recommend to everyone. The pics are from their website and emails. They don’t let you take pics of your own but don’t let that stop you from going. Just enjoy the moment.

Today we visited the wild animal sanctuary in Saint Augustine, and it was an extraordinary experience despite a few sprinkles and warm weather. The slightly cooler conditions made it quite enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting this sanctuary; it will not disappoint. We arrived a bit early for the $60 Friday tour, which we decided to treat ourselves to for our anniversary. All the money goes towards feeding, housing, and providing excellent care for the animals. It was heartwarming to know our contributions would help.Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed. Marty was the first person we met, and she, along with Steve, served as our tour guides. The sanctuary boasts a magnificent variety of animals, including lions, white tigers, wolves, hyenas, and Galapagos turtles. Seeing these stunning animals up close in safe conditions was awe-inspiring.What stood out the most was the love, care, and extensive knowledge that Marty, Steve, and the many dedicated volunteers have for each animal. They knew detailed histories, species information, and unique characteristics of the animals they care for.We had so much fun with Marty as our guide, and we will definitely be back. To anyone who loves animals and wants to learn something incredible, I highly recommend visiting this sanctuary. Be sure to tell Marty that we sent you!-Patricia and Steven 6/21/24

Our family are not supporters of Zoos or animals used for entertainment in captivity or breeding for entertainment & not release & so on. So when I heard of this place I am always skeptical. though they are not GFAS accredited, which is #1 for a real sanctuary ..it holds them to high ethical standards , I did decide to take our family. I know way back they took in movie retired animals. I felt this was an ethical sanctuary. They do not breed to sell, they do take in some from breeders who dont want them, which is terribly sad, but this place is a sanctuary and they care for them the best they can. Though I did feel a lot of enclosures were too small for some, I genuinely believe they are well cared for. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt they genuinely loved these animals and I was relieved and also very glad I came. Our kids never saw a tiger , bear or lion up close. The animals they had were amazing & I'm glad we were able to experience their beauty, even though they are locked up. They offered cold water and a golf cart on the tour for folks who got overheated or needed to rest. They do not allow photos which sucks, but glad animals don't have to have cameras in their faces, bad enough we come, glad no pictures. It was an amazing experience and I hope folks support their efforts.

A great experience. The guides took their time and offered a lot of background information for each animal we saw. Listening to the lions communicate with each other was remarkable. I've never heard anything like it. The work being done to offer these animals sanctuary after a hard start to life is admirable. You can see that these animals are loved and well cared for. Highly recommend, and encourage anyone visiting to consider bringing donations (a list of useful/needed items can be found on their website)

You can tell this is all about the animals. The tour guides are knowledgeable and clearly have a close relationship with the animals. The animals are all spoiled rotten and living their best life. Teddy the bear and his love of peppermints is the most adorable thing. <3

This is a must do! The tour guides are so knowledgeable and you can see their heart for the animals immediately. Was an amazing experience so close to the the animals! You have to put away your phones once entering the gates, but it helped keep our focus on the animals. It was incredible just seeing and hearing the roars/ purs/ howls and everything in between. Posting pictures of the entrance with birds before the cat exhibits.

I hate zoos and I like this because it’s a proper reserve. The animals are active and seem happy. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. The tour is more like a well oiled machine vs your average guided tour. While we didn’t have young children with us, I would hesitate to recommend taking your kids along. The staff have your safety in mind and that’s evident. The big cats are incredible. Some of the most beautiful animals I’ve ever seen in person.

Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is a historic fort that offers self-guided tours, showcasing its drawbridge and gun deck, as well as providing stunning views of Matanzas Bay. This masonry fort, the oldest of its kind in the country, was constructed to safeguard Spain's territorial claims in Florida following pirate attacks during the late 1500s.
As a point of historical significance, the reference and homage pair to this fort by the staff and local community is apparent from the ticket gate. The actors that interact with the public are very impressive with the attention to detail and period knowledge they exhibit and the cannon firing demonstration is a must see.Nearby parking is very limited, but the available public transit and flat walkways make for a quick commute from wherever you can find a spot. The first floor and exterior are accessible to most mobility disabilities; and while a very shallow staircase prevents wheeled access to the ramparts, those with limited mobility in their legs should find a fairly easy climb.

The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is located in St. Augustine. You do have to pay for parking and it's been extremely packed all the years we've been. Kids are free (under 16 maybe?)There is a parking garage on another street that was $20, so make sure you walk around and enjoy all the shops and restaurants while you're here. It's a very scenic area and amazing to take a step back in time. You will also find two churches, the governors house, the first school house as well as some museums you can pay to go to.
Charlonda B — Google review
What an amazing piece of history! It is absolutely worth the visit. I recommend bringing the kids to so they can learn some history but also come alone because you can read all the info posted throughput the fort because you realize all this historic time capsule has been through. I am amazed every time I visit this place that it is open to the public and you can walk through such an incredible time capsule.
The T — Google review
Enjoyed our visit to this Spanish fortress. Such a rich history and taking the self guided tour allowed you to read about each room and about the fortress itself. Not only rich in historical significance, but in its beauty as well. If visiting St Augustine, then this is a must stop, then walk across the street to walk the shops and restaurants of the old city. We went during a holiday weekend, so was crowded, but not overwhelming. The parking at the fortress is rather small, so parking is at a premium. You may have to find alternate parking nearby or even take the trolley and not worry about parking.

This Castillo de San Marcos National park/Monument can get very crowded. You will want to arrive early. The parking lot is very small. There is plenty of parking further away where there's a tram that goes to the fort.Admission is per person and reasonable. If you are a senior (62+) opt for the lifetime pass. You can then go into any US national park and bring up to 3 guests at no additional cost. The fort itself isn't huge. You can easily see it all in 1 hour. They do fire off the cannons at specified times but it doesn't look like they do that early. The small lot is not free. You pay by plate at a kiosk or by an app.
David A — Google review
Love visiting here! There is so much history and overall great experience. You can sense what it must have been like to be a soldier serving here, especially when you see the living spaces and tour the top area where the cannons are. Here is a helpful tidbit, if you are a veteran, go to the ticket booth, bring your ID that shows proof and you can have free access for LIFE to the fort and you can bring up to three guests with you and they are free too! It is a national pass you can use here as well as to other national monuments and parks and such! This fort is also located right across the street from the Pirate Museum, local parking garage, and lots of restaurants. It's totally worth the visit coming to this area!
Amy M — Google review
They were closing up when we got there but it was still pretty cool. It was a lot like Fort Independence in Boston so a lot cooler if you haven’t seen forts before. The grounds were very nice and people seemed to really enjoy the surrounding area as well. You can walk around the outside for free or get tickets and go in.

It is nice to see real castle in St Augustine, Florida. They perform cannon shots to make it real castle in history. Performers have historical Spanish military uniforms. View from castle is awesome. You can walk around the castle. But you need to get ticket to get in the castle. There is a parking place next to it. But it is hard to find spot. You can try St Augustine city parking place close by.

Worth the entrance fee to see the well-maintained fort and wander through the grounds. Lots of interpretive displays and scheduled ranger lectures. Its relatively small, but really well preserved.Parking is limited near the fort and is pay-to-park.

I really enjoyed the walk through the fort and around it. I app the time I spent taking with the park volunteers and learning about the many years of history they are associated with the first and the surrounding area. If you haven't visited the fort I would recommend you taking it in. It doesn't take a long time to walk through it and the grounds. There are monument volunteers ready to help with any question you might have. I found them very knowledgeable and helpful as well.

Great educational experience although the heat can shorten your visit. The view is beautiful and it's set up to see how it looked when they 1st came here. Cheaper to buy a national family pass if you have multiple kids 16 or older.

Incredible history and reenactments here. I’ve been coming here for 35 years and there’s always something new and enjoyable every time I get to explore this fort. This time we were able to catch the reenactment on top where they fired off a cannon. It was so cool to imagine what this looked like centuries ago. I will absolutely be coming back again and look forward to it.

The deep history here is truly amazing. Any chance we could get in on one of the guides talking about different parts of the history it was great! I am also amazed there is nothing keeping people from falling off the top, lol!

It's a great place to go see while at St. Augustine. There are entry fees, but they are not excessive. It has a souvenir shop and bathrooms, and most of the Fort is open to viewing. You can explore the inside and outside, walk around the moat, go upstairs, and look at the cannons and guard posts. Placards provide historical details and events.
Flexin' M — Google review
My family had a great time! You can tour the fort at your own pace, there is a lot to see. There are many rooms to go into with signs explaining the history and significance of what you're looking at. It was an overcast September day when we went but it was still very hot in the rooms so bring water! We went on a weekday around 11am and there was plenty of parking, but by the time we left around 12:30pm there wasn't a single parking spot left, so I would recommend getting here early. Parking is pay by plate and is $2.50/hr. The cost for adults to enter the fort is $15 and kids under 16 are free! The grounds were wheelchair/ stroller friendly unless you want to go up to the top of the fort and walk around, which I recommend if you're able to. We left our stroller at the bottom of the stairs and it was safe while we explored.

What a wonderful National Treasure! The Castillo de San Marcos stands as a testament to the fortitude of the Spanish soldiers and their families who could have easily given up in this military outpost but stood their ground and spent 23 years building this magnificent fort. The coquina blocks have withstood the test of time and held together well against the sieges by the attacking forces. I first visited this fort when I was 9 years old on a 4th grade field trip and this visit inspired my passion for learning about history. Since then I have enjoyed a 36 year career as a professional tour guide and storyteller educating elementary school students and their families on tours in St. Augustine and around the country.

We walked the exterior perimeter of this fort. Very interesting fort to walk around. We did not go inside as it was 100° outside and we had seen enough artifacts in our past. Our walk outside was well worth it. I am sure the interior was equally as fascinating.

Nice historical fort. $15 per adult seems a little high compared to other parks. You can easily explore the fort in 45 minutes. The Powder Room is a cool spot but be prepared to squat down to get through the low passage.Parking for 2 hours was $5.00 and expired time was being enforced while we were there. If you found this review helpful, please like and follow for more random travels!

Flagler College is a private liberal arts college located in Ponce de Leon Hotel, which was built in 1888 as a luxury hotel. The architecture was designed by John Carrere and Thomas Hastings, who worked for Henry Morrison Flagler. The college features beautiful grounds and stunning buildings, including the Ponce de Leon Hotel's famed dome and dining room with its 79 Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows.
I toured Flagler College and downtown along with my brother. Architecture of this college is fabulous. Some of the detail is absolutely remarkable. Nice tour available without ever stepping foot on the property. Plenty of photo opportunities. I’d like to see the inside of some of the buildings at some point on a later more in-depth tour.

Explored this college during our trolley tour—it's a Flagler creation from nearly a century ago. 🏛️The architecture is breathtaking, and the Tiffany windows in the dining hall are so intricate that they're insured for a whopping $130 million. 💎The main building features a charming courtyard adorned with beautiful decorations. 🌿✨

The Flagler College area is absolutely beautiful. The Spanish architecture is breathtaking. From the terracotta roofs to the red iron gaits and railings, this place is eye candy. Walked around and looked at the various hotels and other various buildings, all the same style and flair. When you tour the downtown Saint Augustine area, venture a little further down to see these sites.

This is a review of the old hotel, not the college. The college does have a good reputation and seems like a great place to go to college. But, as to the facility, you can walk in the lobby and check it out, but best to make a reservation for a tour. Make sure you spend some time in the dining room. It's incredible.

By far my most favorite tour in the entire city! Our tour guide was a lovely freshman named Leah and we had a very unique tour with cool observations and obscure little nuances of Henry Flager himself. It is a MUST to check out the college as a tourist or maybe a hopeful college student.

Taking the free architectural tour at Flagler College was absolutely fascinating and beautiful! It was like time traveling back to the Gilded Age where conspicuous luxury and customized environs and decor knew no bounds. Learning the history of the visionary team behind the project and the short amount of time this hotel was completed yielded many surprises for us!

Had the special privilege to be on the 2pm tour of Flager College which started its life as the Flagler Hotel. Built to be the Newport of the South, the most incredible thing is all the original Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows. The entire property is jaw droppingly beautiful. Right now only 2 tours a day. One at 10am the other at 2pm. Adult tickets are $15 and worth it.

Visited for the afternoon historic tour. This facility is simply stunning. It’s very existence is pivotal to what we now know as modern day Florida. The tour was interesting and hosted by one of the attending college students. While she did get a bit “tour-guidey”, she had some great insight into the main building’s history. The tour itself is just over an hour and takes you into some rooms you wouldn’t be able to see otherwise. A small portion of the tour is outdoors, so weather could be a factor. Our tour guide did a fantastic job picking a nice, comfortable, shady spot for our outside stop. If you’re in the area, and looking for brief afternoon activity, then you can’t go wrong with a historic tour of this campus.

Located in a great place I wonder if people really concentrate study as the city has lots of fun places and attractions.I Really enjoyed and recommend.Public Parking lot by the water and the old castle. $5 for 2 hours. Please click the Like icon if it is helpful

This has got to be the worst college experience I have ever dealt with! My daughter who attended in business has struggled the whole time she has been there due to alternative views being pushed on her and if you oppose those views you are penalized. Please parents, review your child’s professors and what they did their studies on. Not only that, if you plan on going to this school for business don’t expect any help getting an internship anywhere other than banks as they don’t have them. We were sold a promise prior to her starting stating their business program was one of the strongest where we have found otherwise.

Amazing architecture and interesting history. Worth visiting even just to see the grounds and the main lobby.

We didn’t do the official tour but we would next time. We just wandered around for a bit. A really neat campus and interesting history. The architecture, wood work, stained glass and ceilings were beautiful.

There are many shops to walk through. So many shops have jewelry, souvenirs, candy and sweets. There are several places to eat too. This is near the old gate to the city. The pirate museum is nearby, and across the street is Castillo de San Marcos fort. Also, Bridge of Lions is nearby and will take you over to Anastasia Island, where you can visit the lighthouse and the Alligator Farm.

The landlord of many units on the street cut down every tree on every one of his properties. My particular unit has absolutely no escape from the sun, or no shade around whatsoever.

The St. Augustine Distillery is located in a historic ice manufacturing plant that was built in 1917. The distillery offers public tours of the facility and tastings of their spirits, which are made using age-old techniques in two copper pot stills. The distillery has won awards for its New World Gin and Florida Cane Vodka.
I recently visited Saint Augustine Distillery and had an amazing time. The highlight of my visit was the free whiskey tasting, which allowed me to sample some of their fantastic products. The employees were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The staff members at the distillery were not only passionate about their craft but were also well-informed about the various whiskey options available. They were more than happy to answer all my questions, providing me with in-depth information about the production process and the unique characteristics of their spirits. Moreover, the welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the distillery made me feel at ease throughout my visit. The employees created a warm and inviting environment, which added to the overall enjoyment of the tasting experience.I highly recommend visiting Saint Augustine Distillery for any whiskey enthusiast or anyone looking to learn more about the art of distilling. The combination of a free tasting and the expertise of the staff made for an unforgettable visit. I will definitely be returning to explore more of their offerings in the future.

My wife and I went to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved the experience we had. We did both the free tour and the Perfect Pairing experience. The Perfect experience was and absolute awesome time. It got my wife to like bourbon, and the truffles that paired with them were outstanding. I love the fact that the distillery is local and that they used a local confectionery shop to do their tasting. My wife and I look forward to going back again!

The St. Augustine Distillery Spirit of Florida Bourbon Experience was Excellent! We went on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail last year and saw some great distilleries but having this quaint and beautiful distillery in our own state of Florida is fantastic. Melody was our host and tour guide and was very knowledgeable about everything Bourbon related especially when it came to the distilling process. We tasted 4 of their different bourbons and enjoyed each one. The "Saint" was our personal favorite because we love old fashioneds so much. Finishing off this bourbon in a barrel of their own old fashioned mix was truly an amazing idea! We bought 2 bottles of Saint, but know that this was not an inexpensive bottle at $200. (we did get a $35 off coupon for the tasting tour). The tour of this small distillery was informative and fun with Melody showing us the complete process. Of course the gift shop was the last stop and we took advantage of more Bourbon tasting with their version of an old fashioned. We had not been to this distillery since they added bourbons and only knew them from their vodka, rum and gin but were VERY pleased they have added these delicious bourbons to their line of spirits. A Wonderful Experience and Must See if you are here in St. Augustine!

The staff was so welcoming to my husband and I. We only wanted to taste the bourbon honey and syrup, since we don’t drink alcohol. They allowed us to do the tour at no cost which was pretty cool on their end. Even though my husband and I don’t drink, learning about how the bourbon is created was pretty interesting. The lady at the counter allowed us to taste the honey and syrup. Woohoo, that was the best honey and syrup I ever tasted. We purchased the syrup and will buy more online if they have it available.

The coolest tasting and educational experience ever! This was my first introduction to bourbon and woooooweeeee I sure felt it! Sarah was a wonderful educator and very informative about the history and process of distillation. The gift shop at the end of our tour had many great items to purchase! Since our arrival for the tour was early, we decided to have a glass from their bar upstairs. Another cool place in the establishment!

We have gone to this distillery several times and love visiting here. When you do the tour, they give the under age ones a delightful grape juice. They have a great rooftop top bar that's very romantic for a date.

Had a great time at our guided tour yesterday. Clark was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had, not just for a distillery but of any excursion or activity I’ve done. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate which made the tour just that much better. Highly recommend the paid tour for everyone. Highlight of our trip to St. Augustine and my wife and I come here once per year for a weekend for the past 5 years. Oh and all the bourbon we tasted were absolutely amazing. Thanks for the great experience

Florida Man Approved! Usually I wait until the end, but this local distillery needs no hype. Great tour and gift shop with everything you would never need to drink, wear, make drinks, cups, trinkets and so much more! Been a loyal customer since day one! I have every bottle of the port distilled discovery series rum 1-4! It’s the focal point of my liquor cabinet! You can sample almost anything they carry at the in store tasting stations! Today Danny Rodrigues was there signing his first day of issue series 4 over proof rum! Great guy and a tasty rum! They host many first day of release events with the distiller. I have a nice collection of signed bottles! Definitely a must see if you are a tourist in town or a local like myself. Bring a little bottle of Saint Augustine home with you! Double Florida Man Approved!!

We love to take visitors to the distillery. We brought our guests to the perfect pair tasting experience and had a great experience. Clark, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Everyone had a great time. We proceeded to the gift shop for additional tastings and souvenirs, every employee we came in contact with was very knowledgeable and you could tell that they loved their jobs. We really enjoy taking guests here. See you soon!

A decent distillery in St Augustine. We came to check them out and were really excited to do a tasting and check out their stuff. Someone in our group did the tour years ago and said it was great. This time there was no tour and the tasting was lame. As someone in our group said to the person who said it used to be great "glad I didn't have to pay for it or I'd want my money back"There were a few mixers to try and you could look at their room where they explain how it's made. You don't actually get to taste their stuff and get information about anything worthwhile. If you have little to no experience or expectations for how it's made you might enjoy it, but as we have been to distilleries all over the world there wasn't enough going on to be worth the trip. The staff were super friendly and they have a nice bar upstairs, but you can drink elsewhere for cheaper with a better variety.Still, a decent place.

Did the pairing tour with friends and had a tremendous time! 👍 Our bourbon ambassador taught us the "ABC's" of bourbon and we experienced some excellent chocolate 🍫 truffles to pair. Enjoyed apps and drinks at the Ice Plant thereafter and it was all fantastic 👌 Highly recommend both the distillery tour and the restaurant/bar thereafter!

St. Augustine Distillery will NOT disappoint and have a memory to last a lifetime. Larry was fantastic for the tour and tasting and KNOWS his bourbon. Nicholas made my one of a kind single barrel bottle pour SO special and was such a blessing to meet him. He went above and beyond to share his passion for what he does, what goes into making bourbon and both men were fantastic!!!A hidden suggestion: Go to the 4pm booking cause it's the last one of the day and they can spend more time showing you stuff, behind the scenes and won't feel rushed.* My suggestion if you can do it 👍🏼😊Thank you and made a 50th Birthday, bourbon 🥃 lovers day a VERY special one ❤️🙌🏼

Wonderful day in St. Augustine with a stop at the distillery! Loved seeing how the alcohol is made and doing the tasting. While the tour was self guided and the tastes were small, it was all about the experience! Each stop had a small amount of alcohol combined with one of their cane sugar based mixers. All unique flavors and wonderful new tastes. The tour wrapped up in the store and Emily was a great server with a wonderful personality at the last stop! Give her kudos for a great time and a lot of knowledge!

This is a small craft distillery that has only been in operation since 2014. You can do a self guided tour that is free and includes 4 tastings of mixed drinks like a mule. They also offer guided tours for a fee. The advantage of the guided tour is its bourbon forward, you hear the history of the building and the business, and you get to try a pour of two expensive bottles. We have been to 12 other distillery tours and I still learned a few new things. Larry was a fantastic host! We got to sample their flagship bourbon, one finished in a wine barrel, an aged blend, and a single barrel. We also got the keep the glasses! I believe a person in a wheelchair could do this tour because you only move from the tasting room to the adjacent room. We enjoyed our experience!

Sights & Landmarks
Fort Matanzas National Monument is an 18th century stone fort constructed by the Spanish on a salt marsh. The monument offers visitors an opportunity to take a boat ride to the fort and enjoy nature walks where they can observe numerous bird species. Visitors can learn about the area's biology from friendly rangers who possess extensive knowledge of the region. For anyone in the region or locals who have not yet visited, it is highly recommended that they explore this beautiful reserve.
A nice little slice of history. It's not really a fort but a watchtower, that is only accessible by the ferry. (Free, but must get a ticket from the welcome center) There is a boardwalk loop nature trail. (15-20min)

This location is beautiful! A must stop to visit and explore if you are in the area. The staff great and very knowledgeable. Nice free little boat ride to the fort across the river. The fort is small but it's still impressive to see and learn about the history of it. You can walk around and inside. They even let you climb to the roof top where you get to see some amazing views! I highly recommend! No charge for parking or the fort visit.

What a great stop. Age 15 and under are free. $14.95 for those 16+. Lots to do to spend an afternoon walking around. Cannot imagine having to man this fort in August back in the days of use. It was an amazing site to see.

Pleasant morning at Fort Mantanzas.Pro Tip - Get there early to reserve your Ferry ticket. They are free but run out quickly. I got there are the park opened and got the first ticket. 20 minutes in and the tickets for the first three ferry’s were gone. There is no restroom on the ferry or once you get for the island, go before you leave VC.Since there are plenty of photos of the site I wanted to include signage and info.A must see sight for all.

This free tour was so informative and so much fun. We arrived at 10:10 and got tickets for the 10:30 tour. You are able to talk down to the water while you wait on the boat. Our national park guides were so lovely. The fort is beautiful and the boat ride to and from were good.

I had an exceptional visit to Fort Matanzas National Monument! The fort itself is a fascinating glimpse into America's past, and the live history presentations truly bring the era to life. Ranger Steve, in particular, gave an outstanding presentation, delivering detailed insights with enthusiasm and clarity. The ranger's knowledge and passion for the subject were evident and made the experience even more engaging. If you're interested in history and enjoy well-crafted educational experiences, this monument is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Loved it! We didn't realize the ferry goes only once per hour on the :30, so we showed up 5 mins before. We went to the office and they only had 1 ticket left. So, we were bunmed and walked toward the water, and the ranger there asked his buddy in the boat if there was room for 2 more. He said yes!!! Thanks, Rangers!Ferry ride was 5 mins, and the fort, though small, was really cool! If you're physically able, I'd suggest climbing up the ladder and going on the top of the fort. Nice views and fun! It's a 45-min round trip excursion and I thought it was great!

Great experience! Make sure to check ferry times before heading that way. The good news is there is a great boardwalk nature trail while waiting for the ferry. It's completely free and such a cool historical fort.

Interesting place to visit and get a stamp for the National Park passport. I forgot the captain's name but him and Morgan was wonderful! They allowed me to board an hour early since I was visiting alone. The fort is full of history and made you think about what it was like 100 years ago when it was created and while it was being used.

The fort was interesting. The only way to get there is by ferry. I was a little disappointed in that there are no trails on Rattlesnake Island (where the fort is). There is a trail on the visitor center side of the Matanzas River but it’s pretty short and not a whole lot to look at. The rangers were really nice and provided a lot of information.

The weather was perfect the day we went. There is a free boat ride to the monument. My kids enjoyed the boat ride & climbing all over the little fortress.

Tour was cut a little short due to rain, however my sons and I had a blast. Great tour guides, nice ferry ride (free), really cool spot. Hearing the history of the fort and how it relates to Fort Castilla. Highly recommend the trip. Then walk out to the sand bar by the bridge when your done to cool down!

Beautiful and historic free park - really friendly, helpful staff and knowledgeable rangers! The short boat ride and tour of the fort are quick, so don’t worry if you don’t have a whole day to spend here - you could do it all in under 2 hours. There’s also a short nature trail to Matanzas Inlet - another free, cool spot nearby. We also saw some dolphins and typical cool Florida birds. Oh, and a lot of jellyfish actually.Tip: get your tickets early even if you want to do to the tour later - it’s not uncommon for all tickets to be given out by the middle of the day.Great time - we’ll be back.

We had a wonderful visit to Fort Matanzas! We arrived around 12 on a Thursday and were able to get tickets for the 12:30 boat ride over to the fort (tickets are free for the boat and there’s no entrance fee to the park!). Our 4 kids were able to do activities in an activity book they gave us and earn badges. The rangers were very informative; Ranger Steve is an absolute gem! We saw dolphins and sea turtles from the fort and boat. We were so glad we made this stop!

I can’t say enough about this park, fort and experience, although selfishly I kind of would like to keep it a little secret so that it stays with its charm. I found this place through a video on Tik Tok of things to do in St.Augustine. Most of the locals and people who visit there often had no idea about this place. I had little information on the ferry hours but we drove there hoping they were still running and thankfully we got the last ferry heading out. We got there about 30 mins before the tour started and hung out with the gopher tortoise to pass some time. All of the park staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide was the best!

An amazing piece of American (and European) history that few today seem to know about. The fort itself may be small, but the story behind its name, the area where it sits, and what it did looms large. Also enjoy the large amount of wildlife that is easily seen around it while visiting. Take one of the free volunteer guided nature walks to hear more about all the fascinating plant and wildlife nearby.

What a great adventure. Everything was great. From the boat ride to the fort itself, it was so nice and well maintained. And to top it off, Ranger Caroline was just superb. She gave a great presentation with lots of facts and knowledge and did so in an exemplary storytelling fashion. Very entertaining and informative.

I've always loved coming here. One of my favorite places in St. Augustine and a good little hidden gem. Tickets are free and include a beautiful ferry ride to the island. The fort is smaller than Castillo de San Marcos but somehow feels like it has more charm. There is a trail you can walk after. Remember to wear sunscreen and pack a water bottle!

It takes about an hour from start to finish. You start off with a pontoon boat ride over the inlet and have about 45 minutes to check everything out. The first 15 min is historical info about the Fort and our Park Ranger was very informative and very friendly. The tour was free even so you had to get tickets. This is only they have an idea how many people came through.
